From the most prestigious wines on the planet to the wallet-friendliest of table wines, we have it all at Moore Wilson's. Bargain international varietals from producers such as Trapiche rub shoulders with the legendary Penfolds marques, and we are confident there's a red for everyone here. And of course, we have a huge selection of New Zealand wines - and not just Pinot Noir! There's Syrah from Gimblett Gravels, Merlot from Hawkes Bay, and plenty of offerings from our local Martinborough wineries. Naturally, our range of French reds is extensive - and there's always plenty of Australian wine on offer. Though if there's something you're looking for and can't find, get in touch and we will see what we can do.

  1. With its magnificent ruby, crimson-tinged appearance, this wine reveals aromas of macerated fruits with a hint of mint, lifted by roasted notes. Generous and rich on the palate, with relatively firm tannins that will soften over time.
    $29.95 Bottle
  2. Classic 'right bank' merlot-dominant Claret, with a little extra oomph. Deep, plummy fruit, hint of tobacco leaf, cedarwood, and framed with just the right amount of grip.
    $23.95 Bottle
  3. A well made claret from the right bank. Full flavoured, with lush red and dark berries, and soft tannins. The finish has just a touch of savoury making it perfect with a roast.
    $18.95 Bottle
  4. Terrifically food-friendly, Merlot-led Organic Bordeaux, savoury but ripe on the palate with a smooth and silky mouthfeel.
    $21.95 Bottle
  5. This is Pauillac Appelation wine, made by the famed first-growth Chateau, at a (reasonably) affordable price. Add in the fact that this is from the excellent 2014 vintage, and this is one that is very much cellar-worthy
    $189.95 Bottle
  6. Beautifully coloured with deep purple tints, this wine offers all the richness and elegance typical of this prestigious appellation. Grown in the very best terroirs and vinified with the same meticulous care as the grands crus, it offers up a bouquet suggestive of pepper and liquorice along with fresh red fruit aromas. The silky, aromatic attack is followed by an elegantly structured mid-palate that goes hand in hand with moderate extract and notes of pure cassis.
    $49.95 Bottle
  7. Notes of ripe fruit, with wild blackberry, redcurrant and smoky, peppery notes. Subtle woody notes with vanilla bean and toasted brioche aromas contribute to a long finish.
    $19.95 Bottle
  8. The colour is both intense and brilliant while the bouquet is full of beautiful red fruit aromas It is ample and appealing in the mouth with a finish that has a slightly toasty character. Thanks to its good balance, this is a wine that can be enjoyed even when young.
    $29.95 Bottle
  9. A very beautiful sustained garnet colour for this charming wine, which will seduce you with its expressive nose offering a wide aromatic palette with notes of red fruits, vanilla, tobacco, enhanced by a touch of undergrowth. Beautiful silky volume on the palate. The touch of Petit Verdot brings freshness and finesse to the tannins. A typical wine of the appellation, which combines charm, elegance and finesse.
    $46.95 Each
  10. Great medium bodied red with an intense dark fruit flavor, but a mellower finish. Rich jammy fruit and some quite strong tannins remaining.
