    170 Edition

    It is a blend of 195 wines from 12 different years, the youngest of which is from 2014, while the oldest dates back to 1998. Its final composition is 51% Pinot Noir, 38% Chardonnay and 11% Meunier. A stay of around seven years in Krug’s cellars gives Krug Grande Cuvée 170ème Édition its distinct expression and elegance.

    Splendid colour, a deep ripe red with beautiful violet reflections. The nose reveals an elegant bouquet; ripe fruit stands out, such as strawberry and raspberry, helianthemums and balsamic touches of cedar. A fresh and full-bodied entrance with remarkable harmony that is rich with ripe fruit and a slight resinous touch. The slick, soft tannins reveal the degree of ripeness of the grapes of the Quinta de Ervamoira. A lasting aftertaste, harmonious and very persistent.

    1997

    Intense, with a very dense colour and delicate brownish reflections, characteristic of an evolution taking place in bottle. Appetising, fresh and alluring aroma, black plum, cassis, anise and tobacco notes and a slight touch of lavender. Creamy mouth, very aromatic, cocoa, cherry and pipe tobacco. It is refreshing without being heavy, good tannin structure and a long and aromatic finish. Today, it is a harmonious and elegant wine. Age gave it a fine delicacy, but it still can and should mature for long years.

    Mount Riley 2022 Rosé was made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris grapes. The Pinot Noir provides red fruit flavour and structure whilst the Pinot Gris adds floral aromatic lift and palate weight. The wine was fermented at cool temperatures to encourage and preserve its bright, lifted aromatics.

This vintage is concentrated and round in mouth, well balanced with a touch of freshness. It is already a greedy and pleasant wine.
