  3. A unique block on Martinborough’s free-draining alluvial gravels closer to the township. Grown on a warm site, that leads to ripe tannin whilst keeping alcohols balanced. This block tends to reward a darker fruit profile, notes of black cherry, plum and spice along with more classical notes of forest floor and licorice. The hallmark of this block is the dense structure and firm tannins that sit upfront on the palate balancing a core of dense black fruits. The inclusion of stems helps to give the wine an aromatic lift and focus. It will continue to develop for up to 15 years and compliment roast meats, game and charcuterie.

  7. Vivid purple hue with opulent aromas of cassis, plum and dark cherries, carrying fragrant Christmas spices and rich roasted coffee notes. 9. Intense, with a very dense colour and delicate brownish reflections, characteristic of an evolution taking place in bottle. Appetising, fresh and alluring aroma, black plum, cassis, anise and tobacco notes and a slight touch of lavender. Creamy mouth, very aromatic, cocoa, cherry and pipe tobacco. It is refreshing without being heavy, good tannin structure and a long and aromatic finish. Today, it is a harmonious and elegant wine. Age gave it a fine delicacy, but it still can and should mature for long years.
