  5. Fresh, dry, with a powerful depth that makes this the perfect partner to seafood and tapas. Drink this well chilled and don't let it gather dust at the back of the drinks cabinet - these fresh zippy flavours will dull with time. Amazing value, and if you like this, you should try it's bigger brother Tio Pepe!

  6. Great wine from an iconic kiwi producer. The saddleback is a rich texture, sits on the dry side and shows a lot of complexity on the finish.
    $22.95 Bottle
  7. Our pick for the most under-rated white wine in the country. Packed to the gills with flavour and drinking beautifully now, but leave for 5 years and enjoy an oily, rich savoury beauty. Produced organically.

  8. Saddleback is the second label of renowned Central Otago winery Peregrine. Medium bodied with lovely red cherry fruit and hints of wild thyme. Soft tannins.

  9. Apple, tangerine and wet stones overlie subdued exotic floral notes. A burst of sweetness on the palate is quickly tempered by hallmark natural acidity. Perfectly integrated sweetness is harmonised by a mineral expression from the schist soils, the low alcohol (9.5%) and dancing acid structure. An expressive and finely poised Riesling potentiating exciting food matches.

  10. Waxy honeydew and citrus on the nose, with light florals and a slightly autolytic/bready quality. Impeccably balanced on the palate, showing Takahiro Koyama’s influence from his time working in the Mosel in Germany, with a precisely-judged acid line cutting through the white-fleshed fruit character. A delicate, subtly off-dry expression with length and depth. Good drinking now, and will cellar well for 5 years. From vines planted in 2004 on gravelley and sandy soil. After being carefully hand harvested from a Gravel Soil vineyard in Waipara Valley, grapes were gently pressed and slowly fermented at low temperature to preserve the sweet, distinctive, precious aroma of Riesling.
    $34.95 Each
  11. This bold yet elegant red is made from 5 (cinque) different grape varieties from two different regions, thus breaking the rules, so while this is one of the best sub-$50 Italians we've come across, it is not DOCG status, but vino di tavola!
    $54.95 Bottle
  12. Crafted by New Zealand’s most awarded Sparkling winemaker Jane DeWitt. Lindauer Free has the majority of the alcohol gently extracted, leaving less than 0.5% ABV, whilst retaining Lindauer's signature style.
