The Green Spot name originated from the Mitchell family’s practice of marking casks of different ages with a daub of coloured paint. Originally there was a ‘Blue Spot’, ‘Red Spot’ and even a ‘Yellow Spot’, but Green Spot emerged as their most popular whiskey and is one of the few “whiskey bonder brands” to survive to modern day.

Shanky was always one to buck the trend, he liked the idea of Irish Whiskey, but did not like the burn, he like the taste of cream, but he did not like the texture... and he loved stout, which is of cause black! So he had a lightbulb moment... and Shanky's Whip was born. A blend of BLACK IRISH WHISKEY, Irish spirits and the delicious natural flavour of cream and vanilla. Combined, these make for a delicious drink on its own or mixed in a cocktail or with cola.

Teeling Single Malt consists of aged malt whiskey up to 23 years old that has been matured in five different wine casks including Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon. This combination of cask maturation techniques has never been done before in Irish whiskey and creates a truly innovative Irish whiskey bursting with personality.
