Cider is an alcoholic beverage made from fermented apple juice (and sometimes with added pear juice) that is most famously from England's West Country area. From traditional dry 'farm-style' ciders that are strong and cloudy, to modern very sweet (and fizzy) flavoured ciders, we have something for every palate. There has been a renewed interest in old-style ciders around the world, and New Zealand is home to a number of very well-regarded cider producers. Some are experimenting with infused fruits like feijoa and watermelon, while others are going for the most cloudy, aromatic West Country-style farm cider this side of Somerset. If you're looking for something a little more unusual, check out our French ciders from Loic Raison.
  1. Zeffer have packed in even more flavour punch with their first hazy cider. This delicious drop is crafted using juicy, tropical passionfruit and their freshly crushed Hawke’s Bay apples. It’s unfiltered, zingy and bursting with the real fruit flavour they're known for.
    $24.95 6 Pack
  2. A tribute to the Orange wines of Northern Italy. A short, sharp maceration on Pinot Gris skins from Wairarapa natural wine legend Lance (Cambridge Road). This one went quick and we had it in bottle within a couple of weeks of pressing. Six months later and it's ready to fly. A rich and textural pét nat cider with a deep orange hue and oodles of complexity. Vinous in nature with a broad fruit spectrum ranging from finger lime to table grape.
    $21.95 Each
  3. A flavour unique to Aotearoa and the world's first Feijoa Pét Nat! Mineral driven and refreshing with a rounded puckering acidity and light sparkles.
    $21.95 Each
  4. Ume is a fruit synonymous with Japanese blossom season and thanks to Neville from NZ Yuzu we've had the pleasure of working with Organic Certified Ume grown a stones throw away in the Horowhenua. Umeko is the result. A six week maceration to extract all aspects of the Ume followed by six months of bottle conditioning to round out the acidity and texture. The result is complex and progressive - unlike anything we've produced so far. Tasting notes do it no justice so you'll have to open a bottle and see for yourself.
    $21.95 Each
