Cider is an alcoholic beverage made from fermented apple juice (and sometimes with added pear juice) that is most famously from England's West Country area. From traditional dry 'farm-style' ciders that are strong and cloudy, to modern very sweet (and fizzy) flavoured ciders, we have something for every palate. There has been a renewed interest in old-style ciders around the world, and New Zealand is home to a number of very well-regarded cider producers. Some are experimenting with infused fruits like feijoa and watermelon, while others are going for the most cloudy, aromatic West Country-style farm cider this side of Somerset. If you're looking for something a little more unusual, check out our French ciders from Loic Raison.
  1. Hallertau beers and ciders are all about classic refinement, and that's pretty clear from the Granny Smith Cider. It's crisp, clean and refreshing, and has very little lingering sweetness.
    $5.50 Bottle
  2. Crisp apples from the Hawke’s Bay provide both the clouds & the silver lining in this refreshing cider from Mac’s. This is a classically cloudy traditional style cider, smooth upfront with a fresh, slightly tangy finish. Fresh from the fridge, it’s so crisp you could take a bite out of it.
    $18.95 Pack
  3. Forecast Cider is brewed in small batches using freshly pressed juice from New Zealand cider and heritage apples, selected for their flavour profiles. After initial fermentation the cider is left to mature for several months. The still cider is bottled with a measure of fresh juice and undergoes secondary fermentation to produce fine bubbles. As few residual sugars are left and no refined sugar is added, this produces a crisp, dry cider.
    $7.50 Bottle
  4. This was the first cider Peckham's created in their Upper Moutere cidery and stems from their quest to create a go-to, honest cider with plenty of character, Zesty and fresh with a touch of apple pie, and subtle complexity from some great cider apples.
    $5.95 Can
  5. Crisp juicy Nashi Pear blended with a subtle hint of passionfruit is a match made in heaven. Our latest combination is light and refreshing and is sure to impress. Best enjoyed chilled, over ice.
    $4.75 Bottle
  6. Real 0% cider crafted in sunny Hawke’s Bay by a few friends. Enjoy a deliciously crisp cider crafted from Hawke's Bay apples, carefully fermented and deftly spun to remove the alcohol.
    $13.95 Pack
  7. Not ready to commit to one flavour? Try Zeffer's Mixed 6 Pack and sample their classic Crisp Apple Cider, famous Apple Crumble Cider and Rosé Cider with Berry Infusion.
    $23.95 6 Pack
  8. A classic crisp apple cider and the first we ever crafted. It’s dry, tangy, green apple goodness.
    $23.95 6 Pack
  9. Just try reading this without singing the Prince lyric in your head - go on, try! Delicious Blackcurrant adds a touch of sweetness to this refreshing apple cider - YUM!
    $27.50 Pack
  10. Farmhouse is a wild fermented, single variety cider made from the soft and gentle Yarlington Mill cider apple, aged in French oak. A naturally complex, full bodied cider with subtle farmhouse notes, ripe fruit and a mellow sweetness contained by a soft tannic finish.
    $5.95 Can
  11. Rochdale Cider Apple

    330ml 12 pack cans

Rochdale Classic Apple Cider is a sparkling straw colour, with crisp acidity balanced by the sweetness of tree-ripened apples. Full bodied on the palate, it has a smooth finish with notes of buttery vanilla.
    $25.95 Dozen
  12. Zeffer have packed in even more flavour punch with their first hazy cider. This delicious drop is crafted using juicy, tropical passionfruit and their freshly crushed Hawke’s Bay apples. It’s unfiltered, zingy and bursting with the real fruit flavour they're known for.
    $23.95 6 Pack
