Cider is an alcoholic beverage made from fermented apple juice (and sometimes with added pear juice) that is most famously from England's West Country area. From traditional dry 'farm-style' ciders that are strong and cloudy, to modern very sweet (and fizzy) flavoured ciders, we have something for every palate. There has been a renewed interest in old-style ciders around the world, and New Zealand is home to a number of very well-regarded cider producers. Some are experimenting with infused fruits like feijoa and watermelon, while others are going for the most cloudy, aromatic West Country-style farm cider this side of Somerset. If you're looking for something a little more unusual, check out our French ciders from Loic Raison.
