Brandy is made by distilling wine, and so unsurprisingly, the best brandies usually come from the best winemaking regions. France, of course, is a big player in the brandy world, with two protected brandy types - Cognac as the exclusive name for brandy produced and distilled in the Cognac region, and Armagnac for brandy from the Armagnac/Gascony region.
  1. The palate is floral and rounded with notes of berries and vanilla spice and plenty of oak. This VS cognac is aged in Limosin oak barrels and is a blend of about 40 different components making up the classic Hennessy house style.
  2. While perfect consumed neat or over ice, it truly shines when used in place of whiskey in traditional cocktails like the Manhattan and Old Fashioned. The warm, full flavors with overtones of baked apples, caramel and wood from this aged apple brandy give an extra dimension of complexity and body to cocktails.
    $64.95 Bottle
  3. Inspired by a cognac created in 1817 in response to a request from the future king of England, George IV, Hennessy V.S.O.P has built its reputation across nearly 2 centuries.
  4. Hennessy XO, the first extra Old cognac, is powerful, masculine and generous - a genuine pleasure.
    $309.95 Bottle
  5. The story goes that during his years of exile, Napoleon took hundreds of bottles of Courvoisier Cognac with him. He told Emmanuel. A world famous VS cognac from one of the 'Big Four' producers.

  7. Martell VS (‘Very Special’) cognac was created over 150 years ago under the ‘Three Star’ name (***) and is enjoyed all over the world. Its harmonious, finely balanced blend makes it the ideal cognac for long drinks and cocktails.
  8. This skillfully crafted cognac is a blend of several crus with a perfect balance between Fins Bois, Grande and Petite Champagnes at the peak of their aromatic potential.
  9. Fiery mahogany colour. Floral notes: Heady touches of white flowers. Jasmine and iris. Fruity notes: Ripe fruits of late summer - juicy plums, ripe figs, candied oranges. Oak notes; Freshly grated cinnamon and hazelnuts. Velvety, rich and lingering finish.
  10. Martell VSOP Médallion (‘Very Superior Old Pale’) bears a gold medallion engraved with the portrait of Louis XIV and commemorates the year 1715 - the birth of the House of Martell. This cognac is made with skilfully blended, mature eaux-de-vie from the four finest terroirs of the Cognac region.
  11. Long and intense. Enticingly perfumed and richly fragrant with fruity notes of apricot and citrus followed by vanilla "rancio". Light and delicate in the mouth, with the gentleness of slow ageing. Full and soft finish, developing into fruit.
  12. Three year old “Three Stars” ARARAT brandy is the youngest and most daring in the range. It is distinguished by its lively and spicy aroma of flowering fruit trees and an intense, slightly burning taste with notes of fresh home baking.
