Gin is a broad category of spirit, but the key flavour must always be juniper (from which its name ultimately derives). While names like Beefeater, Bombay Sapphire and Tanqueray are the big sellers, New Zealand has developed its own reputation for premium gin, including Greytown's Lighthouse gin and Auckland's Rogue Society. Don't forget to pick up some very fine Quina Fina tonic water on your way to the checkout!

  1. Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin is an oriental-inspired spirit from The Shed Distillery in Co Leitrim that's setting the world alight. Taking its name from one of the signature botanicals, slowly dried Gunpowder tea, the recipe also includes lime, lemon and grapefruit.
    $82.95 Bottle
  2. The same great taste, but small enough to pop in your handbag... Gin and Rhubarb both seem very English, and that therefore just seems they should be married together. The pink colour catches your eye, but on tasting it, you get a big smile and WOW. So yum.
    $33.95 Bottle
  3. The perfect combination of 12 botanicals, secretly combined. Juniper to the fore, each note complimenting the next.
    $29.95 Bottle
  4. A cute mini-sized bottle. Hand-crafted and batch distilled in the Wairarapa. A distinct blend of botanicals including NZ navel oranges and Yen Ben lemons. Best appreciated in a dry martini or G & T!
    $25.95 Bottle
  5. The Source Rosehip Gin is forged by the four seasons that blow through the Cardrona Valley, Southern Alps, New Zealand. A natural matrix of locally foraged rosehip, together with traditional juniper, coriander seed, angelica root, lemon and orange zest, vapour-distilled into our Single Malt Spirit.
    $111.95 Bottle
  6. Heavy botanical style craft gin. Juniper, lemon, lemongrass, cardamom and coriander – all delicious flavour tones, uniquely decipherable, that hum together with nowhere to hide.
    $79.95 Bottle
  7. Roots Marlborough Dry Gin

700ml - World's Best London Dry Gin at the 2023 World Gin Awards

  8. Dr Beak NZ Premium Gin

500ml - NZ Spirits Awards 2023 Gold Medal Winner

Blended with thirteen botanicals, and lifted with citrus & spice. Earthy notes round out the palate, with a dash of New Zealand ocean breeze. A spirit to stand up to the strongest mixers.
    $79.95 Bottle
  9. Fresh and sprightly like the piwakawaka that adorns the label and designed to be enjoyed on any occasion. This is a juniper forward gin based around the core Dr Beak botanicals. A savoury expression with notes of fresh rosemary and mint, finishing with a kick of horopito.

  10. Little Biddy West Coast Gin

  11. Awarded a Bronze Medal at both the 2019 New Zealand Spirits Awards in Wellington and the International Wine and Spirit Competition in Hong Kong, The Bond Store Kawakawa Gin is handcrafted on the Kapiti Coast using sustainable New Zealand ingredients.
