It's the king of spirits, really. Whether you like single malt or blends, Highland or Lowland, whisky or whiskey, we have a pretty exceptional range available. Scotch is the most famous, of course, but we stock all kinds of bourbon, as well as Irish whiskey, rye whiskey and blended whiskeys. Smoky, peaty whisky has always been Scotland's specialty, but if you want to try something new - in fact, singularly unique! - Thomson is producing the world's first Manuka smoked whisky.

  1. Made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and then triple distilled in copper pot stills, Redbreast 15 is comprised exclusively of Pot Still whiskeys matured in the finest oak casks for no less than 15 years.
  2. Matured for 13 years in sherry casks, a heady and rich aroma of dark toffee, treacle and brown sugar notes lead the nose, joined by roasted citrus and tropical fruit (mango). The palate is heavy and thick with the same notes, along with chocolate coated caramels, Russian fudge, French vanilla ice cream and Christmas spices.
  3. The high ratio of first-fill sherry seasoned European and American oak casks selected to create our 18 Year Old give it a unique flavour profile of bursting overripe cherries, bitter dark chocolate, sweet marzipan, floral heather honey, and aromatic peat smoke.
  4. Taste two Gold Medal winners from the San Francisco World Spirit Competition 2016. Both from Thomson Whisky New Zealand.
    $41.95 Pack
  5. This is Maker's Mark Bourbon in its purest form. Bottled at barrel proof and nonchill filtered, Maker's Mark Cask Strength ranges from 108 to 114 proof depending on the barrels. Surprisingly smooth, this bourbon retains the signature, front-of-the-palate flavors of Maker's Mark® while amping up the notes of oak, caramel, vanilla and spice.

  6. Talisker 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

700ml - NZ Spirits Awards Gold Medal Winner

A massive success as the island representative in Diageo's 'Classic Malts' series, Talisker 10yo's profile keeps increasing as more fans discover its intense coastal spicy, peaty character. A truly elemental malt.
  7. Bunnahabhain is not a heavily peated malt, it embodies the more gentle side of Islay, making it an approachable dram with just a touch of smokiness.
  8. Arran Barrel Reserve is a fresh, light and elegant no-age-statement Single Malt Scotch Whisky. It is 100% matured in Bourbon Barrels and is going to become your go-to dram for every occasion - to be served neat, with ice or in a longer drink or cocktail.
  9. Bottled at 43% ABV, Tamdhu 12 Year Old has been 100% matured for a full 12 years in first fill and refill American and European Oloroso sherry casks from the cooperages of Jerez, in Spain’s ‘sherry triangle’. The result is a complex and rich single malt whisky that delivers a wealth of complexity, with flavours of cinnamon, dried fruit, banana and classic sherry oak depth.

  10. Glenmorangie is a great place to start if you're just getting into Malt Whisky, or a reliable staple to have in the cabinet. The 10 year old is mellow and smooth, with toffee, oak and gentle warming spice this sets a good benchmark for Highland malts.
  11. An intoxicating burst of maraschino cherry, ripe bramble and dark chocolate mint with hints of orange bitters and walnut liqueur. Honey-glazed apricot and ripe fig with a crescendo of black cherry, angelica and muscovado. Long and enveloping finish with dark manuka honey, herbal bitters and dark chocolate.

  12. Every precious drop of Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey has been triple distilled at the Shed Distillery using Malted Irish Barley, Un-malted Irish Barley and Irish Barra Oats. Aged in Sherry Oloroso and Kentucky Bourbon casks with no added colour and no chill filtration.
