'Spirits' (AKA 'hard liquor') is the term for all distilled alcohol - in fact, the name 'spirit' came from alchemists who believed the vapor of distillation was a 'spirit' of the original material. Technically 'spirits' and 'liqueurs' are different - spirits have no added sugar, while liqueurs do - but they tend to be lumped together. Virtually all known spirits were used as health tonics or elixirs at some point in history, but transmuted into good fun drinks over time. Many countries have their 'national' drink - gin, whisky, schnapps, grappa, ouzo, soju, vodka, rakia/rakija...there's quite a list. Experiments began with sugars and flavours - resulting in limoncello, cynar, Benedictine...that's an even longer list.
  1. The spirit is created from an exotic fusion of the finest aged Scotch malt whiskies, a carefully selected range of spices, Mediterranean tangerines, cinnamon and honey. Because of all these different ingredients, Glayva has a very distinctive and pleasant taste. Surprisingly smooth and sweet, with a hint of cinnamon and spices, it really tastes like nothing else!
    $49.95 Bottle
  2. After having difficulties finding orange bitters to suit his taste, Gaz Regan decided to set about making my own. After a few mishaps, on batch number 6 he got it right and Regans Orange Bitters No.6 was born.
    $28.95 Bottle
  3. Butterscotch schnapps is carefully created with the rich, creamy flavour of butterscotch to deliver you the fine taste you expect from De Kuyper.
    $37.95 Bottle
  4. Briottet's Peach Cream is a timeless favourite which you should always have to hand!
    $31.95 Bottle
  5. Extracts from dark red cherries, subtly enhanced with exotic spices, blended with fine brandy. Incomparable almond flavour derived from crushing the cherry kernels for that smooth, fruity and warming flavour.
    $34.95 Bottle
  6. Sagatiba Cristalina’s cutting edge multi-distillation process produces a very clean spirit with the delicate flavour and aroma of fresh cut sugarcane. Clear and bright. Sweet, sugary and intoxicating nose that mellows the senses. The mellow palate is full of caramel velvetiness that leaves you craving the sweetest candies of childhood. Lightly sweet and spicy, mineral oil accented fade.
    $70.95 Bottle
  7. Originally a tonic, the zesty Peychard's Bitters has given drinks and food an honored place in famous gourmet recipes the world over.
    $19.95 Bottle
  8. Made with whole cherries from Centreal Otago, this full flavoured twist on regular rum comes in at a gentler strength of 41% abv. Each bottle is individually numbered and dated.

  9. Opal Nera was the original black Italian liqueur and rapidly achieved worldwide renown.
    $61.95 Bottle
  10. A complex process which entails the alcoholic extraction of the main flavours of whole roasted cocoa beans means that the cocoa taste is retained. A hint of Bourbon vanilla is the only other main ingredient used in Briottet's Dark Cocoa Liquor.
    $49.95 Bottle
  11. Coruba Gold is 100% Jamaican Rum, made in the modern rum style with its golden colour totally due to ageing in small oak barrels. Coruba uses both pot and column still rums to create the final Coruba Gold blend.
    $55.95 Bottle
  12. Aalborg Table Akvavit is the archetype of a clear, Danish aquavit. It has a distinct taste of caraway seeds, but if you close your eyes, you can sense a discreet aftertaste of orange.
