'Spirits' (AKA 'hard liquor') is the term for all distilled alcohol - in fact, the name 'spirit' came from alchemists who believed the vapor of distillation was a 'spirit' of the original material. Technically 'spirits' and 'liqueurs' are different - spirits have no added sugar, while liqueurs do - but they tend to be lumped together. Virtually all known spirits were used as health tonics or elixirs at some point in history, but transmuted into good fun drinks over time. Many countries have their 'national' drink - gin, whisky, schnapps, grappa, ouzo, soju, vodka, rakia/rakija...there's quite a list. Experiments began with sugars and flavours - resulting in limoncello, cynar, Benedictine...that's an even longer list.
  1. We craft our STIL Vodka at the base of the Kaimai Ranges in New Zealand's Bay of Plenty. Using water collected from the Toutou and Waiorohi spring-fed streams, our vodka is triple distilled and charcoal filtered to create a pure, still spirit. Blended with natural feijoa flavour, perfect on the rocks or mixed into your favourite cocktail.

  2. A mysterious product, a unique infusion of rhubarb and secret aromatic herbs, distinctive in its essence to which an exclusive 30° alcohol content guarantees a rich and decisive taste. As a bitter it is excellent to be enjoyed neat; as an aperitif it lends itself as an ingredient in the great classics of mixology in place of vermouth or bitters.
    $56.95 Bottle
  3. Magical powers are attributed to the Dandelion, or Dandelion. Born from the dust raised by the chariot of the Sun God, he feeds Theseus for thirty days before the victorious fight with the Minotaur. Lovers from all over the world rely on this flower to know the future of their passions. Herbalists of all times have always preferred the flower of mountain origin as it is smaller and richer in active ingredients. In this recipe the Dandelion is combined with numerous alpine herbs and the bittering muscovado which make it even more intriguing on the palate.
    $54.95 Bottle
  4. An 81 proof (40.5%ABV) bourbon crafted by Wild Turkey associate distiller Eddie Russell, son of master distiller Jimmy. It's a high rye mash matured in heavily charred casks for big flavour at a more approachable ABV than the 101.
    $66.95 Bottle
  5. 100% New Zealand Single Malt Whisky aged four and a half years in 50 and 100 litre virgin French oak barrels. With a fully grain to glass story, the new make spirit is made from 100% Canterbury grown and malted barley. It is mashed, fermented and double pot still distilled, then aged more than four years in 50 and 100 litre virgin French oak barrels in Christchurch NZ.

  7. The Blood Moon profile is truly unique and combines a mixture of both dried and fresh botanicals, creating a delicious and refreshing Blood Orange gin.
    $79.95 Bottle
  8. A little bit special, this gin is inspired by the wasabi root that grows locally in Golden Bay. Unlike most wasabi (which is often coloured horseradish), real wasabi root does not have that same searing heat – but rather a clean, earthy finish that is perfectly suited to a navy strength gin.
    $79.95 Bottle
  9. A handmade 100% Agave Mezcal, distilled at the Gracias a Dios ‘Palenque,” or mezcal factory in Matatlan, Oaxaca, with the help of maestro mezcalero Oscar Hernandez. With a strong and aromatic flavour, these spirits are the result of a long quest to find the best mezcal.
    $99.95 Bottle
  10. This junmai-shu measures +17.8 on the Japanese sake scale making it super-dry at face value. However, it carries an umami that blooms in the mouth, giving the sake a gentler flavour profile. A sake that showcases both the true umami of rice, alongside a very clean finish.
    $59.95 Bottle
  11. Kubota Junmai Daiginjo Sake
    $58.95 Bottle
  12. Jozen Rock Sake
