Despite what the French may tell you, 'Champagne' wine was not invented by the famed monk Dom Pérignon - it was the English! It is largely thanks to 17th-century scientist Christopher Merrit and the superior glass production techniques in England that we have champagne today; though the myth of Perignon stuck better than the truth, and his name is now associated with the prestige cuvee of Moet & Chandon. Now 'Champagne' can refer only to sparkling wine of a certain style, produced in the Champagne region. But while it's the most famous type, don't overlook the extraordinary range of other sparkling wines available, like prosecco and methode traditionelle.
  1. Possibly the world's most famous Champagne. The cork is popped on a bottle of Moet somewhere in the world every sixty seconds! Perfect for any celebration.
    $51.95 Bottle
  2. Moët Nectar Impérial is a delicious expression of the Moët & Chandon style, a style distinguished by its bright fruitiness, its seductive palate and its elegant maturity.
    $97.95 Bottle
  3. The signature of the Maison, Mumm Grand Cordon is about making a statement, doing things your own way, setting your own style, celebrating your own triumphant achievements. It’s about honouring the past, but reinterpreting it for the future.

  4. From the Hills around Treviso comes this Organic Prosecco. Classic aromas of white peach and green apple, fresh and soft on the palate, well balanced with a crisp finish.
    $22.95 Bottle
  5. The Medici Lambrusco colour is intense ruby red. The bouquet is fruity and persistent with violet scent leading to sweet, fruity, fresh, lively and pleasantly harmonious. The froth is fine and rich when poured.
    $11.95 Bottle
  6. Bortolin Angelo founded in 1968 and now run by his children. Fruity and off-dry at first, then crisp and refreshing. From the prestigious Valdobbiadene sub-region, this is top Prosecco!
    $29.95 Bottle
  7. Melon and brioche aromas with a biscuity nectarine finish. Distinctively Chardonnay, this Blanc de Blanc will partner well with food or just to celebrate!
    $17.95 Bottle
  8. Tohu Wines has collaborated with artist Flox to design an exclusive gift box and label for their limited edition Methodé Traditionnelle Rewa Rosé.
    $36.95 Bottle
  9. The first release from Champagne Armand de Brignac, the Brut Gold remains the most iconic cuvée in the range. Rich with the old-world tradition of champagne blending, it is a trio of vintages from some of the most lauded terroirs of the region, resulting in a cuvée expressing vibrant and fresh fruit character with a soft texture.

  11. A wine dedicated to a man, nature and passion for Prosecco. Fruit forward with appealing pear, lemon and honey characters, with some lovely light floral notes. Delicioso!
