    2001 Single Quinta Vintage Port

Quinta da Cavadinha is one of finest vineyard estates in the Douro and the name is given to one of their flagship wines, made when they do not declare the vintage – as in 2001. A rich, enticing nose full of jammy hedgerow fruits, liquorice and cloves.

  3. A light wine of golden color. Very harmonious with delicate aromas of almonds and orange peel. Half dry palate denoting almonds and citrus fruits. With a good end-of-mouth, this is also an excellent appetizer.
  4. A medium dark, brownish colour with golden hues. This is a very fragrant wine with wood, spices and caramel aromas. Full bodied and rich on the palate with dried fruits and an harmonious finish.
  5. Deep purple with ruby rim. Massive concentration of ripe, blackcurrant fruit with mint and chocolate hovering over and underlay of cherries and plums in youthful guise. Deep and full on the palate with great tannic structure and terrific length. Mouth warming and vibrantly youthful.
  6. Opaque purple colour with vibrant aromas of blackberry and dark cherry as well as hints of freshly picked mint. Full-bodied with brambly fruit flavours, this wine shows. Graham’s signature complexity and elegance in perfect balance.
  7. Dow’s Fine White is made primarily at our Quinta do Sol winery. Only traditional white grape varieties from the Douro valley are used. Dow’s Fine White was 100% fermented off the skins and using temperature control so that fermentation takes place between 18-22ºc. 8. A first class aperitif wine, a beautiful amber/honey colour, it shows excellent fruit on the palate, but at the same time has a long relatively dry finish.
  9. Intense ruby red colour, brilliant and clean. Rich red fruit aromas with a touch of age create an elegant reflection of powerful flavours, the fruit and fire characteristic of young classic Porto balanced with the finesse of age.
  10. Lusciously ripe, vibrant fruit of youth and lovely tannins, which give it the slightly peppery spice on the tongue. But it also has the elegance of age: the softness and smoothness that can only be achieved by slow ageing in old oak barrels. That’s what puts the Special in Special Reserve.
  11. Dow’s LBV is full-bodied, rich but perfectly balanced with soft peppery tannins and with a fine acidity that ensure perfect balance on the palate. The classic Dow’s dry finish is always present in the house’s LBV; it is one of the finest LBV Ports available.
  12. Full-bodied, with rich black fruit on the palate, and fragrant blackberry aromas. Bottled young in order to retain its freshness and characteristic opulence, Six Grapes is typically aged for between one and two years in seasoned wooden casks.
