'Fortified' wines have a distilled spirit (normally brandy) added either during or after fermentation. Originally fortifying wines was a way of preserving them, but distinct styles like Sherry (Jerez), Madeira, Manzanilla, Vermouth and Port developed into popular and rather sophisticated drinks.
  1. Barbadillo's Finos are more Manzanilla-like in style, but are aged in Bodegas with less exposure to the cooling sea breezes. The flor in the barrels grows vigorously in these cellars so the wine is a little more nutty and toasty than the more appley and yeasty Manzanillas of Sanlucar.
    $29.50 Bottle
  2. Barbadillo is the largest producer of Manzanilla in the whole of the Jerez region. This dry, fino style sherry is from the coastal region of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, lending a slightly salty twist.
    $31.95 Bottle
  3. Lustau Pedro Ximenez

    half bottle 375ml

'PX' sherry is one of the world's great wine styles - a lusciously sweet sherry that's dessert in a glass. Lustau's is one of the very best.
    $34.95 Bottle
  4. This is effectively a blend of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez Sherries with an average Solera age of about 8 years. The result is a rich and sweet but not cloying dessert wine. You could try this chilled or even over ice as an aperitif.
    $31.50 Bottle
  5. A very rich, thick and sumptuous dessert sherry from Barbadillo. This has a rich prune, raisin flavour and goes superbly well with rich desserts.
    $41.95 Bottle
  6. Known for its deep golden chestnutty and amber tones, the nose is full, fragrant, pungent and elegant all at once. On the palate Bristol Cream delivers a full bodied experience with rich yet mellow notes leaving a long lasting and velvety finish.
    $35.95 Bottle
  7. Tawny Port style. Dark amber in colour with sweetish styling; full and richly flavoured with hints of caramel & raisins. Soft & sweet.
    $32.95 Bottle
  8. Splendid colour, a deep ripe red with beautiful violet reflections. The nose reveals an elegant bouquet; ripe fruit stands out, such as strawberry and raspberry, helianthemums and balsamic touches of cedar. A fresh and full-bodied entrance with remarkable harmony that is rich with ripe fruit and a slight resinous touch. The slick, soft tannins reveal the degree of ripeness of the grapes of the Quinta de Ervamoira. A lasting aftertaste, harmonious and very persistent.
    $94.95 Bottle

  9. Tio Pepe en Rama is an unfiltered and unclarified Tio Pepe, bottled during spring when the flor growth is at its thickest."En Rama" is the term used in the bodega for sherry in its raw, most delicate state, as if drinking directly from the cask itself.
    $23.95 Each
  10. Fresh, dry, with a powerful depth that makes this the perfect partner to seafood and tapas. Drink this well chilled and don't let it gather dust at the back of the drinks cabinet - these fresh zippy flavours will dull with time. Amazing value, and if you like this, you should try it's bigger brother Tio Pepe!
    $26.95 Bottle
  11. Intense brown colour with reddish hues. Exuberant nose, with aromas of red fruit intertwined with notes of wood and subtle hints of spice. In the mouth, it is rich and balanced, with round tannins combined with the silkiness of fruit, giving the wine the unique trait of a Kopke Colheita. A long and delicate finish.
    $69.95 Each

  12. This multi vintage blend of fortified wine barrel aged is blended for optimum complexity. Aromas of spice, orange peel and roasted nuts combine with chocolate, coffee and dried fruits on a smooth concentrated palate. Ideal any time with a cheese board or after dinner with chocolate pudding!
