From the most prestigious wines on the planet to the wallet-friendliest of table wines, we have it all at Moore Wilson's. Bargain international varietals from producers such as Trapiche rub shoulders with the legendary Penfolds marques, and we are confident there's a red for everyone here. And of course, we have a huge selection of New Zealand wines - and not just Pinot Noir! There's Syrah from Gimblett Gravels, Merlot from Hawkes Bay, and plenty of offerings from our local Martinborough wineries. Naturally, our range of French reds is extensive - and there's always plenty of Australian wine on offer. Though if there's something you're looking for and can't find, get in touch and we will see what we can do.

  1. The wine has an intense, dark purple colour with a violet rim; bright and vivacious in the glass, youthful. The nose is expressive with powerful cassis, plum, exotic spice and hints of floral aromas. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied with intense flavours of crushed black fruit, cassis, vanilla and dark chocolate. The tannins are soft and silky, the acidity fresh, the flavour profile focused and linear. The wine has a persistent and long-lasting aftertaste.
    $33.95 Bottle
  2. This distinguished Cabernet Sauvignon was made from ultra-premium grapes grown in stony soils on twenty year old vines at the Mere Road Vineyard, located in the celebrated Gimblett Gravels Wine Growing District of Hawke’s Bay.
    $44.95 Bottle
  3. This complex blend showcases a great vintage on their Havelock North vineyard. Dark and brooding on the nose with black doris plum, aromatic jasmine and underlying mineral notes of graphite and tar. The palate is broad and soft with supple front palate tannins and soft vanilla oak enveloping the fruit.
    $21.95 Bottle
  4. Made for more youthful drinking than the long-lived Chateau Musar. Still powerful, with rich berry fruit, violets, this intensely fruity wine has silky tannins and a hint of spice at the finish.
    $39.95 Bottle
  5. This is great party/"lying in front of the telly" wine. Drinkable, rounded and smooth with the lovliest mid palate.Warm berried fruit,a nice earthy underbelly and decent length.
    $13.95 Bottle
  6. Want to see how good South African wine can get? Meerlust Rubicon is a Cape legend. The Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot vineyards are hand harvested, fermented separately, and then expertly blended.
    $79.95 Bottle
  7. Medium to deep crimson with purple hues. Lifted blueberries, black currants, mint and black olive dominate the aroma with lovely cedar and hints of sweet spice adding to the complexity.
    $33.95 Bottle
  8. Produced by the famous Te Mata Estate, this is a solid Hawkes Bay blend. Well balanced, drinkable Hawkes Bay table wine for everyday drinking.
    $21.95 Bottle
  9. Dense and inky purple in colour despite a relatively low alcohol level on bottling, a generous bouquet of cedar, spice and bramble. Dense and chewy on the palate, with a sturdy structure that promises further development with bottle age. Tannins are beginning to resolve, but remain firm, giving this Estate a soft edge that enables for a myriad of food pairing options. A fine right-bank Bordeaux equivalent for a terrific price.
    $45.95 Bottle
  10. Full bodied and flavoursome Western Australian Cabernet. Ripe red fruits, tobacco, herbs and leather are all evident. Needs red meat to be enjoyed to its full potential.
    $27.95 Bottle
  11. This is Pauillac Appelation wine, made by the famed first-growth Chateau, at a (reasonably) affordable price. Add in the fact that this is from the excellent 2014 vintage, and this is one that is very much cellar-worthy
    $189.95 Bottle

  12. The Caley is the pinnacle of a long winemaking journey of excellence, that rightfully honours Yalumba’s most adventurous son, Fred Caley Smith. A blend of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon and Barossa Shiraz, The Caley is a classic marriage of two noble varieties and two great Australian wine regions.
