From the most prestigious wines on the planet to the wallet-friendliest of table wines, we have it all at Moore Wilson's. Bargain international varietals from producers such as Trapiche rub shoulders with the legendary Penfolds marques, and we are confident there's a red for everyone here. And of course, we have a huge selection of New Zealand wines - and not just Pinot Noir! There's Syrah from Gimblett Gravels, Merlot from Hawkes Bay, and plenty of offerings from our local Martinborough wineries. Naturally, our range of French reds is extensive - and there's always plenty of Australian wine on offer. Though if there's something you're looking for and can't find, get in touch and we will see what we can do.

  1. The colour is dark and intense, almost black. The nose opens on fruit aromas, especially black cherry, followed by toasted, roasted notes. The wine is immediately full and powerful on the attack, with well-rounded tannins and fruit flavours that develop notes of vanilla, roasted coffee and toasted nuts. The long finish is sustained by slightly toasted, oaky flavours. A powerful Château d'Armailhac of considerable refinement.

  2. Chilean Merlot is the BUZZ in the wine trade at the mo'. Super smooth, savoury wines with plum and cocoa notes. Ideal for washing down overcooked BBQ-ed food.
  3. Made from some of the oldest vines in McLaren Vale, (and on the Pirramimma Estate), the intensity of this Cabernet Sauvignon is quite amazing.

  4. Aromas of cherry, plum, cranberry, pomegranate and smoke. Flavours of plum, black cherry and red fruit compote. Rich and fleshy in the mouth with soft tannins and persistent flavour. Easy to drink on its own, or to match with food.
  5. Dark cherry, plum, spice and a hint of tobacco blend together creating a well-rounded Pinot Noir. Ample fruit is balanced by an elegant tannin structure that lingers nicely.

  7. Haha Syrah

    2018

Brand new to the scene, the silky smooth Hãhã 2018 Hawke’s Bay Syrah shows juicy blueberry and plum notes. Fresh and delicious with lovely floral notes and a hint of spice, this wine is sure to be a festive favourite.
  8. Powerful and complete. Layers of dark Central Otago berry fruits, hints of violet, clove and cinnamon aromas are locked into this wine which screams of promise. The mouthfeel is instantly generous with the depth and breadth of flavour quite astounding.
  9. This Merlot-dominated wine brings out both the juicy fruit typical of the vintage and a tight, smoky character that lends perfume. Still young, it's firmly structured and will age well. Drink from 2020.
    $39.95 Bottle
  10. Such amazing value for money.. Made by the experienced team at Giesen, this is classic Merlot with plenty of berry fruit and smooth mouthfeel.
  11. Hawkes Bay Syrah from the expert team at Villa Maria. Ripe and juicy with flavours of red fruit, white pepper, wild thyme and spice. Delicious with roast Hawkes Bay venison!
  12. Concentrated black berry fruit, warm spice and layers of velvety tannins. The Sicilian Sun has definitely played a hand here, making this rich oppulent style of Nero d'Avola
