From the most prestigious wines on the planet to the wallet-friendliest of table wines, we have it all at Moore Wilson's. Bargain international varietals from producers such as Trapiche rub shoulders with the legendary Penfolds marques, and we are confident there's a red for everyone here. And of course, we have a huge selection of New Zealand wines - and not just Pinot Noir! There's Syrah from Gimblett Gravels, Merlot from Hawkes Bay, and plenty of offerings from our local Martinborough wineries. Naturally, our range of French reds is extensive - and there's always plenty of Australian wine on offer. Though if there's something you're looking for and can't find, get in touch and we will see what we can do.

  1. Expressively floral, as is typical in Fleurie, but this single vineyard wine has many more layers of red fruits, lively minerality, and a touch of smoky oak.
    $39.95 Bottle
  2. A complex savoury nose with fruit characters of blueberry and cranberry. Notes of wet earth, butchers block and floral spice give additional interest to the aromatic profile.
    $19.95 Bottle
  3. Head in the Clouds is Alpine Wine Co.'s 'Nouveau' style Pinot Noir, so named for its similarity to Beaujolais Nouveau. The fruit for this wine was from Dicey's Inlet and Mount Edward's Muirkurk vineyards. Hand harvested, 40% whole bunches, just a short maceration to keep the tannins at bay, wild-fermented and matured in aged French oak barriques. Fruity and floral nose, juicy and plush palate. Serve chilled for maximum refreshment!
    $38.95 Bottle
  4. A delightful mixture of earthy and savoury aromas, interlaced with lifted violets, vibrant red fruits, tobacco and gun smoke notes. The multi-layered palate shows crunchy raspberry, cranberry, and damson plum flavours fleshed out with grainy tannins. A juicy yet elegant wine with great energy.
    $29.95 Bottle
  5. On the nose, we find ripe berries with balsamic aromas and Mediterranean notes like lavender. A mineral background as well. On the palate, we can taste red and blackberries as well as fig notes. Hints of oak on a fresh mineral background. A rounded up wine with soft tannins. Certified Organic
    $33.95 Bottle
  6. Minimum ageing in barrel and in bottle is required to gain Crianza classification - resulting in a timelessly mellow and relaxed wine of autumnal red fruit, and sweetly smokey oak.
    $19.95 Bottle
  7. Highly scented Black Doris plum, blackberry and black currant aroma’s with hints of baking spice, cedar and fine spicy oak. The palate shows dark fruits dominated by plum and blackberry with a rich full mid palate supported by firm, ripe tannins and a long, sumptuous finish. Subtle oak influence provides spicy notes and added structure.
    $22.95 Bottle
  8. It is a wine of great breadth; the taste is full and rich in texture with a lingering saltiness. Its lasting freshness and fragrance fill the mouth creating a unique experience that only the varietal vocation of its blend can give.
    $31.95 Bottle
  9. It has a garnet red color typical of the Cesanese area with a beautiful luminosity. The nose is inviting and clean, characterized by small red fruits, morello cherry and raspberry, followed by a delicate floral bouquet of rose. In the mouth it enters soft and enveloping with a silky and non-invasive tannin. The structure accompanies the sip with balance to a clean finish with fruity hints of cherries in alcohol.
    $29.95 Bottle
  10. From the 'heel' of Italy's 'boot', this a stunner at a the price! Black fruit and leather on the nose, rich plums coat the palate, and spicy notes freshen the finish.
    $18.95 Bottle
  11. Launched with the 1990 vintage in 1993, Bin 407 was developed in response to the increasing availability of high-quality cabernet sauvignon fruit. Inspired by Bin 707, Bin 407 offers varietal definition and approachability, yet still with structure and depth of flavour. Textbook cabernet sauvignon, the varietally expressive Bin 407 highlights the rewards of Penfolds multi-region, multivineyard blending, with a core of ripe fruit supported by sensitive use of French and American oak.
    $119.95 Bottle
  12. St Henri is a time-honoured and alternative expression of shiraz, and an intriguing counterpoint to Grange. It is unusual amongst high quality Australian red wines as it does not rely on any new oak.
    $149.95 Bottle
