At first the wine displays an enticing bouquet of dried herbs and aromatic citrus fruit with a hint of the stony elements which follow in the mouth. The broad and lush white fleshed fruit in the entry is wonderfully restrained by the saline laced acid on the long, calm finish.$26.95 Bottle -

Pungent with peach, melon and pastry/ oatmeal notes. A touch of Gala apple also. Juicy, sweet and fresh fruited entry with lemon and lime, more stone fruits - especially nectarine and apricot -and a touch of cashew. Generous, bright and long with a lingering mineral/ oyster shell.$21.95 Bottle -

The wine is fragrant and flinty with a hint of pink grapefruit. The palate is supple but with a limestone edge that is piercing and lingering. It will be interesting to see how this wine develops but we fully expect to see it improve with bottle age along the same lines as the other Kumeu River wines.$37.95 Bottle -
