New Zealand is most famous on the world wine stage for Sauvignon Blanc, and with good reason. But here at Moore Wilson's we hunt out the best of all the white varieties from local producers, and spice it up with some international contenders from excellent wineries. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris (AKA Pinot Grigio) are the ubiquitous names, but there's plenty more out there: semillon (seh-mi-yohn), viognier, riesling, gewurztraminer...

  1. The fruit impact is immediate with orange marmalade, lemon and ginger mixed with rumtopf style preserved fruit on show on the palate. All revolves around the middle of the palate with this wine, where it has a gorgeous and sumptuous mouthfeel with a silken and oily texture.
    $58.95 Bottle
  2. Beautiful complex aromas greet the nose with brioche, crème brulée, rock melon and honeycomb, followed by stone fruit, ripe pears, mango and quince. The palate is classic Dry River Pinot Gris, transparent, dense with a broad ‘gourmand’ mouthfeel and a light acidity to balance out some sweetness.
    $65.95 Bottle
  3. Concentrated aromas of peach, citrus, honey and floral fruits. A softly concentrated wine, perfectly balanced, with a lingering apple finish. Enjoy!
    $37.95 Bottle
  4. 100% ovum, first use. Skeetfield fruit, unfined and unfiltered. Beautiful nose with subtly mealy citrus fruit. The palate has beautiful texture and finesse. There’s a bright, lively citrus core with fine-grained structure. Such precision and detail with some spicy, mealy richness.
    $129.95 Bottle
  5. The Skeetfield Vineyard has old vine dry-farmed Mendoza Chardonnay vines. The fruit was hand-picked and whole bunch pressed with minimal settling. This wine was 100% barrel fermented and matured, with 60% new Taransaud French oak.
    $71.95 Bottle
  6. Fantastic balance. Just enough buttery oak to broaden out and enhance a fruity palate with an underlying zing of minerality. Perfect Gizzy wine...satisfyingly good value!
    $18.95 Bottle
  7. A fantastic Chablis Premier Cru, this wine is linear with a complex, mineral palate and notes of citrus fruits. It is also rich and broad with a long lasting taste. Thanks to its high acidity it has good potential for ageing.
    $67.95 Bottle
  8. Classic Savvy exuberance, passionfruit, peaches and some cooler green notes. A whip crack of mouth watering acidity is matched by a fully flavoured and soft textured mouthful.
    $23.95 Bottle
  9. Specific grape to the San Gimignano region. A fresh nose of lemon and jasmin and a taste of green apples and pear. Medium bodied, with some floral complexity.
    $19.95 Bottle
  10. Freshly scented, with powerful tropical fruit richness and vibrant melon/lime flavours.
    $24.95 Bottle
  11. Fruit driven style of Pinot Gris from Marlborough. Citrus, Pear, muesli and soft spice are all here. Finishes relatively dry and will partner all manner of dishes.
    $15.95 Bottle
  12. The MKIII Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc expresses the ethereal, aromatic and structural flair of the Dillons Point Sub-Region in Marlborough, New Zealand.
    $31.95 Bottle
