New Zealand is most famous on the world wine stage for Sauvignon Blanc, and with good reason. But here at Moore Wilson's we hunt out the best of all the white varieties from local producers, and spice it up with some international contenders from excellent wineries. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris (AKA Pinot Grigio) are the ubiquitous names, but there's plenty more out there: semillon (seh-mi-yohn), viognier, riesling, gewurztraminer...

  3. Villa Maria Private Bin 'Light' Sauvignon Blanc! Class! If you hold the bottle in one hand with a regular bottle in the other...it really is lighter! Who'd have thought? This light and vibrant wine displays aromas of zesty limes, crisp herbs and fresh snow peas. The juicy palate is balanced and has flavours of passionfruit and grapefruit, with a hint of jalapeño and lemongrass on the finish.

  4. Made from the slopes of the Loire Valley, this Sauvignon Blanc take advantage of 10th generation of winemaking experience of our family. Very aromatic with pleasant flower and fruit fragrances recalling the flower of the vine and the fruit of the Sauvignon. On the palate it reveals a freshness and vivacity characteristical of grapes harvested at good maturity.

  6. A fresh and pleasant blend with a golden yellow colour and a good balance of fruit, lime-tree and white flower aromas. The attack is slightly spicy and peppery with a good structure and length.

  7. Light yellow with light reflections of good intensity. The nose is marked, pleasant and intense. Fresh scents: citrus fruits (yuzu zest, clementine, lemon), exotic fruits (pineapple) and spices (ginger). Airing enhances these scents and reveals white peach, apricot and a slight hint of smokiness, such as a pencil lead. The nose shows a sophisticated ripe and tonic profile.

  8. This fresh vibrant Muscadet has a slight spritz on the palate along with fresh citrus, green apple, and lime blossom. The finish has a soft, round texture from lees aging.

  10. Golden yellow with green reflections of good intensity. The nose is marked, pleasant and intense. Candied, exotic (passion fruits, mango, papaya, lychee), floral (rose) scents. Airing enhances these scents and reveals vanilla, banana, yellow fruits, pear, peach and spices (crystallised ginger). The onset in the mouth is fleshy and sweet. The alcoholic base is full-bodied.
