New Zealand is most famous on the world wine stage for Sauvignon Blanc, and with good reason. But here at Moore Wilson's we hunt out the best of all the white varieties from local producers, and spice it up with some international contenders from excellent wineries. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris (AKA Pinot Grigio) are the ubiquitous names, but there's plenty more out there: semillon (seh-mi-yohn), viognier, riesling, gewurztraminer...

  1. A lifted and intense bouquet of baking spice, apple and mandarin. The saline infused palate is bright, racy and focused. The Dry style makes a statement: taut and austere but with an enduring palate of crushed rocks and salty, apple notes. Exotic, mineral and powerful; a pure expression of the schist soils of Block 2. The thinking man’s Gin and Tonic!

  2. Stone fruits - flint and nuttiness from barrel fermentation with natural yeasts. Rich and concentrated with texture and drive. Central Otago vineyard blend : Bannockburn / Gibbston Valley / Lowburn
    $32.95 Bottle
  3. Hand-picked from older vines, this is a dry, zesty style with fresh lifted aromas of passionfruit and lemon leading to a richer palate with added texture from extended lees contact.
    $22.95 Bottle
  4. An inviting and complex nose of almond and apricot kernel with our distinctive white florals. It’s less citrus focussed than normal, expressing more in the stonefruit spectrum due to the warmer 2018 growing season. Winemaking is minimalist: not fined or filtered, allowing for greater expression of place over process. The various vineyard components of this Bannockburn bottling contribute to a palate that is textural, nutty and very long.

  5. This fresh crisp white from Sardinia pairs perfectly with shellfish, as the label might suggest! Easy drinking and delicately fruity with aromas of aromatic herbs and a wonderfully refreshing crisp finish.
    $19.95 Bottle
  6. The palate mimics the nose, with a mineral focus and a tight acidity. This keeps the mouthfeel elongated, narrow and salivating.
    $71.95 Bottle
  7. Vibrant in colour – a touch more than usual due to the warm year. Lovely florals and lemon grass aromas. Mouth filling flavours of pear and lemon pith balancing the zesty acid backbone. A classic Hunter Valley Semillon to enjoy now or age gracefully.
    $29.95 Bottle
  8. This Chardonnay is a collaboration between Prophet’s Rock winemaker Paul Pujol and esteemed French winemaker François Millet from Chambolle-Musigny, Burgundy. Former winemaker at Comte George de Vogüé for 35 vintages, François continues to make wine in Burgundy with his family under ‘François Millet et Fils’ and with us in New Zealand.
    $89.95 Bottle
  9. An orange-brick colour with aromas of dried pear and pear-drop lollies. The palate shows off whole bunch characteristics with plenty of punch here at the finish.
    $25.95 Bottle
  10. Fleshy yet delicate and textured with good structure and a long satisfying finish
    $25.95 Bottle
  11. With Peregrine Estate, you usually find you pay a bit more for their wines but...what you receive is consistency, real flavour and character. Rarely do their wines disappoint. Produced organically.
    $39.95 Bottle
