New Zealand is most famous on the world wine stage for Sauvignon Blanc, and with good reason. But here at Moore Wilson's we hunt out the best of all the white varieties from local producers, and spice it up with some international contenders from excellent wineries. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris (AKA Pinot Grigio) are the ubiquitous names, but there's plenty more out there: semillon (seh-mi-yohn), viognier, riesling, gewurztraminer...

  1. This Chardonnay is a juicy, full-bodied wine that explodes with bright citrusy aromas of lemon zest, honeydew melon and just a hint of toasty oak. Big bold flavors of citrus and apple with a touch of vanilla.
    $21.95 Bottle
  2. Richly-structured and balanced with flavours of fresh pears and spice.
    $15.95 Bottle
  3. Pale lemon straw with faint green hue. Complex and refreshing aromatics of melon rind, sea spray, honeysuckle and a hint of beeswax. Very precise across the palate with ripe citrus and subtle oak highlights and a long, texturally dry and almost saline-like finish.
    $29.95 Bottle
  4. Think you know Chardonnay? Try this bright fresh example from Southern Burgundy. Floral and fruity, with hints of white flowers, apple and lemon aromas. Precise, refreshing and direct.
    $29.95 Bottle
  5. An instant hit, this Pinot Gris kicks off with ripe and rich stone fruit notes, layers of baked apple, and juicy quince harmonies. The outro leaves you with a bold mouth-filling texture and a crowd-pleasing mineral finish.
    $14.86 Bottle
  6. Fresh, crisp and quite delicate, the palate is loaded with attractive citrus characters. The lively acid provides much of the drive and sees the wine finish clean and dry with just a hint of talc like grip on the finish.
    $25.95 Bottle
  7. Mid straw-gold colour, full of ripe melon and dried stone fruits and fig, light nut meal and brûlée notes, with some light leesiness. A wine of gentle creaminess and elegant texture, with tropical and stonefruit flavours, pleasing weight and long, dry finish.
    $26.95 Bottle
  8. Golden hued and full bodied, with melon and spicy baked apple aromas. Layered, with mineral notes enhanced by honeycomb and caramel flavours from lees contact. This wine is a great example of the harmonious balance which can be achieved between fruit and delicate oak/vanilla flavours, as they combine to form complex, soft flavours with sufficient body to enhance even spicy and full flavoured meals.
    $33.95 Bottle
  9. Take your Albarino game to the next level with this Classic Spanish example - bright and fresh with welcoming floral aromatic nose. Appealing white flowers and orchard fruit flavours and refreshing crisp finish
    $28.95 Bottle
  10. Crisp, medium-bodied, elegant Chardonnay with struck flint, mineral, citrus, grapefruit, white peach and smoky oak flavours. The wine has an appealingly ethereal texture and a lengthy finish.
    $26.95 Bottle
  11. Lifted aromas of vanilla bean, ripe peach and spicy oak. There are nuances of toasty hazelnut and ripe citrus rind. The palate has a flavoursome entry with generous mid-palate texture showing the stone fruit and citrus flavours promised on the nose. The palate is well balanced with fine grained oak tannins and gentle acidity that gives length and persistence of flavour.
    $39.95 Bottle
  12. Delicate aromas of white flesh peach with complex citrus notes of Meyer lemon, lemon blossom and lemon curd. There are nuances of almond milk and wet stone minerality. The palate has mouth-filling richness and mid-palate opulence, framed with fresh citrus acidity. There is a salty minerality that along with the lemon/lime acidity provides superb length and freshness on the finish.
    $44.95 Bottle
