New Zealand is most famous on the world wine stage for Sauvignon Blanc, and with good reason. But here at Moore Wilson's we hunt out the best of all the white varieties from local producers, and spice it up with some international contenders from excellent wineries. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris (AKA Pinot Grigio) are the ubiquitous names, but there's plenty more out there: semillon (seh-mi-yohn), viognier, riesling, gewurztraminer...

  1. The Pinot Gris vineyards we have in Kumeu are producing grapes of high quality consistently that allow us to make wine that is rich, complex and delicious.
    $26.95 Bottle
  2. This wine boasts a honey-hued color and aromas of nectarines, baked spices, and tangelo skin. It offers concentrated flavors with refined, long tannins—fruity yet profound, reminiscent of Golden Queen peaches.
    $36.95 Bottle
  3. Smooth, well rounded Chardonnay with aromas of grapefruit and stone fruits. Subtle spice lingers from French oak. Try with soft cheeses, seafood or creamy pasta. Gorgeous.
    $16.95 Bottle
  4. Produced by Te Awanga Estate, Two Gates vines are planted on classic Hawke’s Bay river terraces, chosen for their cool nights and low rainfall.
    $20.95 Each
  5. Pale lemon with a bright clarity. Fragrant notes of rose flowers, lychee and honey suckle, combined with hints of cardamom and 5-spice powder. Flavours of ripe orange, lychee and ginger spice. Generously weighted and finely textured, this wine has gentle acidity with a streak of seashell minerality ensuring a long, cleansing finish.
    $24.95 Bottle
  6. Bright pale straw colour with lemon tinges. Lovely fresh aromas of white fleshed peach, roasted cashews and hints river stones and toasted brioche. The palate is immediately open with ripe stonefruit and confit lemon flavours surrounded by a lovely creamy texture, a hint of fine oak, and finishing long with a savoury, flinty twist.
    $37.95 Each
  7. This stylish Sauvignon Blanc has an intense herbaceous nose with racy acidity balanced with soft textural tropical notes of melon and mango in the mouth, and a clean long citrus finish.
    $15.95 Each
  8. This gorgeous Pinot Gris has jasmine golden peach and poached pear on the nose. With fig, pear, and spice on the palate, it boasts a sensuous texture, great length and dry finish.
    $15.95 Each
  9. This rich Chardonnay has rich brioche and crème brulée, with a hint of nuttiness and flint on the nose. Juicy peach flavours, perfectly integrated with subtle oak create an elegant finish.
    $15.95 Each
  10. The initial impression is tightly woven, but soon expands and opens to reveal intriguing nutty and brioche notes. The breadth and depth are impressive, with a mineral freshness brightening and influencing the seamless and long finish.

  11. Barrel fermentation gives texture and complexity with underlying ripe fruit core. Cashew and almond combine with ripe white peach in an elegant, poised and rich palate.
    $29.95 Each
  12. Picked across a 7 day window in wonderful conditions, the earlier fruit showcased fresh nashi pear and slatey minerality through a clean tank ferment. The later picked fruit was barreled down and fermented to bring a depth of flavour, texure and palate weight to the wine adding notes of sweet spice, and poached pear dessert. The combination of the two parcels leads to a wine of purity and complexity, with balance and a lingering finish.
    $34.95 Each
