New Zealand is most famous on the world wine stage for Sauvignon Blanc, and with good reason. But here at Moore Wilson's we hunt out the best of all the white varieties from local producers, and spice it up with some international contenders from excellent wineries. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris (AKA Pinot Grigio) are the ubiquitous names, but there's plenty more out there: semillon (seh-mi-yohn), viognier, riesling, gewurztraminer...

  1. A ripe and spicy nose of cardamom, candied apricot and peach. A very rich and unique wine thanks to the climate.
    $18.95 Each
  2. Domaine Rewa Late Harvest Riesling
    $27.95 Each
  3. This alcohol-removed Riesling features notes of lime, citrus blossom and elderflower on the nose. The palate offers lively and refreshing Riesling characters, with zingy lime, ripe mandarin and delicious sweetness, all balanced by a refreshing crispness.
    $16.95 Bottle
  4. Very intense, lively aromas of orange blossom, lime and crisp green apple, with jasmine floral notes. Beautifully structured wine, with great balance and acidity. Citrus fruits continue through the palate, with a hint of oyster shell, and a beautiful textured and lingering finish. While drinking superbly on release, this wine will continue to improve and evolve for years to come.
    $37.95 Bottle
  5. Pale green gold with silver streaks. Delicate notes of apple blossom, nectarine, honeysuckle, lime zest - with mineral undertones. On the palate -intense lime, zesty mandarin and ripe red apple. Bright acidity brings freshness and balances with generous fruit sweetness. These two aspects are accentuated by the natural spritz retained from fermentation which provides lift in the mid-palate. Th reprise is long and lingering with a satisfyingly crisp clensing texture.
    $34.95 Each
  6. Floral nose with jasmine and orange blossom, touch of lemon. Pithy citrus fruits including pink grapefruit expressed on the palate with a touch of honey and spice. Textural with a rich line of acidity.
    $21.95 Each
  7. Wow. Explosive flavour, perfect balance between the minerality, fruit and acidity and a gorgeous lick of sweetness to satisfy all who taste.
    $28.95 Bottle
  8. The colour is lemon-straw. On the nose there is an abundance of citrus, in particular the orange zest that is such a regional feature of North Canterbury Rieslings.
    $37.95 Bottle
  9. Fragrant aromas of grapefruit blossom, mandarin and lime zest with a mineral note. A luscious palate with Meyer lemon and ripe grapefruit flavours. The wine has a wonderful length with just a hint of sweetness on the finish.
    $24.95 Bottle
  10. Mondillo's Single vineyard 2019 Dry Riesling, has enticing aromas of citrus fruit, peaches and honeysuckle with a crisp, dry finish.
    $29.95 Bottle
  11. The colour is bright lemon, with aromas of citrus (lime/ mandarin), stone fruit (apricot/ peach/nectarine) and also honeydew melon. Layered beneath there are floral notes reminiscent of honeysuckle and jasmine. While the influence of botrytis adds concentration and richness on the palate, there is also a seam of crisp acidity that ensures the wine remains fresh and lively, with a balanced and lingering finish.
    $42.95 Bottle
  12. The nose is open and soft natured, fresh and broad. The bright look is upheld by citrus flesh, lemon rind and white flowers. Granny Smith apple, mandarin juice and menthol spice make the nose seductive and inviting to continue the journey.
    $58.95 Bottle
