New Zealand is most famous on the world wine stage for Sauvignon Blanc, and with good reason. But here at Moore Wilson's we hunt out the best of all the white varieties from local producers, and spice it up with some international contenders from excellent wineries. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris (AKA Pinot Grigio) are the ubiquitous names, but there's plenty more out there: semillon (seh-mi-yohn), viognier, riesling, gewurztraminer...

  1. Picked across a 7 day window in wonderful conditions, the earlier fruit showcased fresh nashi pear and slatey minerality through a clean tank ferment. The later picked fruit was barreled down and fermented to bring a depth of flavour, texure and palate weight to the wine adding notes of sweet spice, and poached pear dessert. The combination of the two parcels leads to a wine of purity and complexity, with balance and a lingering finish.
    $34.95 Each
  2. A restrained Chardonnay which will unfold with time. Pure citrus notes are supported by gentle mealiness from yeast influence, all encapsulated by balanced acidity. The beautiful structure of Chardonnay enables graceful bottle development, this wine is poised to do just that. Fine subtle sweet French oak completes this elegant wine.
    $79.95 Each
  3. Single Vineyard Albarino from the Hope Block on the Waimea plains. White peach, ripe nectarine and apricot notes linger into a long vibrant, saline finish. Lip-smacking!
    $19.95 Each
  4. Complex aromas typical of Kumeu Chardonnay. Hand harvested and whole bunch pressed with indigenous yeast fermentation and 100% barrel ferments.
    $37.95 Bottle
  5. Vibrant aromas of lemon grass, lime, ginger, honeysuckle and a touch of lavender. The palate is luscious and succulent with great intensity balanced by lovely focused acidity.
    $15.95 Each
  6. Rich and complex with flavours of stone fruit combined with toasted hazelnut.
    $29.95 Each
  7. Brilliant pale yellow with green nuances. Green apple and white peach combine with fine nuances of lemon balm and mint to create the typical aroma of the classic Terlano.
    $39.95 Each
  8. This Chardonnay has a full, broad nose of refreshing and bright aromas of ripe yellow stone fruits and citrus fruits along with an edge of creamy and nutty barrel-ferment and spicy oak notes, subtle lemon-curd and buttery MLF notes. The palate has flavours of citrus fruits melded with creamy barrel-ferment and nutty, spicy oak.
    $22.95 Each
  9. This Chardonnay is layered with varietal fruits of peach and pear. A subtle touch of spice from the oak, and a clean mineral finish makes this a complex, yet easy to drink wine.
    $23.95 Each
  10. Displaying a brilliant straw and lime-tinted hue in the glass, the nose offers a fragrant and complex medley of ripe melon, citrus blossom and nougat, complemented by underlying notes of grilled nuts. The palate is generous and mouthfilling initially then the long line of concentration and natural acidity leads to a sustained and powerful finish. This wine will develop further complexity, mineral and toast like characters with careful cellaring.
    $84.95 Each
  11. One of the top selling NZ Sauvignon Blancs in the world! Classic Marlborough notes of gooseberry, citrus and herbs. Partner with fresh seafood or salads.
