New Zealand is most famous on the world wine stage for Sauvignon Blanc, and with good reason. But here at Moore Wilson's we hunt out the best of all the white varieties from local producers, and spice it up with some international contenders from excellent wineries. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris (AKA Pinot Grigio) are the ubiquitous names, but there's plenty more out there: semillon (seh-mi-yohn), viognier, riesling, gewurztraminer...

  1. 100% ovum, first use. Skeetfield fruit, unfined and unfiltered. Beautiful nose with subtly mealy citrus fruit. The palate has beautiful texture and finesse. There’s a bright, lively citrus core with fine-grained structure. Such precision and detail with some spicy, mealy richness.
    $139.95 Bottle
  2. The Skeetfield Vineyard has old vine dry-farmed Mendoza Chardonnay vines. The fruit was hand-picked and whole bunch pressed with minimal settling. This wine was 100% barrel fermented and matured, with 60% new Taransaud French oak.
    $71.95 Bottle
  3. Fantastic balance. Just enough buttery oak to broaden out and enhance a fruity palate with an underlying zing of minerality. Perfect Gizzy wine...satisfyingly good value!
    $18.95 Bottle
  4. A fantastic Chablis Premier Cru, this wine is linear with a complex, mineral palate and notes of citrus fruits. It is also rich and broad with a long lasting taste. Thanks to its high acidity it has good potential for ageing.
    $67.95 Bottle
  5. Rabbit Ranch Chardonnay is made to express the very best of Central Otago’s cool climate, unique schist soils and grand vistas. Handpicking, whole bunch pressing, minimal intervention and oak result in an expressive, energetic wine displaying the typical white floral and ripe citrus notes that are a hallmark of the region’s best Chardonnay.
    $23.95 Bottle
  6. Ocean sea spray, waxy native florals entwined with white peaches. These flavours are brought though to the palate along with notes of fennel & yuzu pith.
    $29.95 Bottle
  7. Hailing from Naboth's Vineayrd 1 Kings Ch. 21. The first vineyard in the world to see the sun. The 2019 vintage is again an energetic, luminous wine. Only 10 months on primary yeast lees offers a biscuity richness to the primary fruit. Exotic perfumes of acorns, vanilla and almonds welcome the finesse and delicacy combined with a full rich palate. A New world classic and a collectors dream.
    $84.95 Bottle
  8. A rich bouquet with stonefruit, citrus notes and a hint of toast. Mouthfilling peach and nectarine flavours, witf brioche and lingering butterscotch. Produced orgganically.
    $28.95 Bottle
  9. Bright aromas of citrus blossom, apple, blanched almonds with a hint of lime leaf. The palate is focused, with a salty, mineral line and fresh flavours of lemon and coriander. This is a youthful wine that’s delicious drinking now, but it will also reward further with cellar age.
    $37.95 Bottle
  10. Black Barns most awarded wine. With aromas of stone fruit and citrus, layered with toast and spice from 100% barrel fermentation and extended barrel ageing.
    $36.95 Bottle
  11. Beautifully balanced wine, with delicious orchard and stone fruit combined with a silky texture and mouth-watering finish. Fantastic value.
    $19.95 Bottle
  12. Flinty, stony aromas stand out while in the background is a hard spice note from surlee barrel aging. There are notes of lemon-lime and soft vanilla. With the first taste it is irresistible.
    $52.95 Bottle
