New Zealand is most famous on the world wine stage for Sauvignon Blanc, and with good reason. But here at Moore Wilson's we hunt out the best of all the white varieties from local producers, and spice it up with some international contenders from excellent wineries. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris (AKA Pinot Grigio) are the ubiquitous names, but there's plenty more out there: semillon (seh-mi-yohn), viognier, riesling, gewurztraminer...

  1. Lifted fruit aromas of nectarines and pineapple have integrated harmoniously with the oak to produce a wine of great texture with creamy, nutty characters on the palate.
    $25.95 Bottle
  2. Bogle Chardonnay 21/22

2022 - Listener Best Buy White Wine - Michael Cooper

Truly an American Chardonnay. Big, as in OTT big, lashings of oak and fruit and enough kick to lay out a whole troup of martial artists...the Dolph Lundgren of whites. Raaar.
    $25.95 Bottle
  3. Fresh dry style, with complex stone-fruit character and a touch of richness from a portion of barrel ferment.
    $26.95 Bottle
  4. The Rabbit Ranch Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc from thier vineyards in the South Island of New Zealand and the Central Otago Rabbit Ranch home block. A cool climate, elegant yet assertive style Sauvignon Blanc, left on the lees for approx 3 months to tone down some of the overt grassy, grapefruit notes and giving a lovely textural boost to the wine.
    $17.95 Bottle
  5. Enticing summer aromas of crisp green apple, fresh lime, white flowers and wet stone. The vivid and juicy fruit rolls through to the back of the palate like a wave, before slowly receding, revealing the stony acidity lying underneath.
    $23.95 Bottle
  6. Great Value, classic Marlborough Sauvignon, bursting at the seams with fresh citrus, gooseberry and a touch of tropical passionfruit. Perfect with foraged shellfish!
    $11.95 Bottle
  7. This wine is lifted with hints of cardamom, fennel seed and turmeric. A Moroccan market spice delight. There is an adoring complexity, rich with sweet sensations. It is cloudy from natural sediments, soft yet drying to the taste. It smells very clearly of its origins in terms of place and fruit.
    $38.95 Bottle
  8. Petit Chablis comes from the outlying areas of the Chablis appelation. Predominantly clay soils, unlike the chalky limestone of the vineyards in Chablis. This William Fevre Petit Chablis is fresh, fruity and floral with mineral notes. A light and lively wine.
    $41.95 Bottle
  9. Herzog's tiny production, organic wines are highly sought after. The Chardonnay is no exception. Orange blossom, lime and chamomile… Persistent flavours give way to a generous creamy palate. Cellaring potential for up to 10 years.
    $59.95 Bottle
  10. An iconic kiwi wine and a huge seller here. An oily, grapey, spicy style with unctuous underlying natural fruit sweetness and a long, warming finish.
    $36.95 Bottle
  11. From Simon Waghorn and his team in Marlborough comes this delicious Sauvignon. Ripe citrus and gooseberry with a smooth and elegant finish.
    $22.95 Bottle
  12. Refined on the nose and palate with aromas of hazelnut and peaches. Great length with a mineral backbone and very rich flavours. Will benefit from cellaring.
    $99.95 Bottle
