New Zealand is most famous on the world wine stage for Sauvignon Blanc, and with good reason. But here at Moore Wilson's we hunt out the best of all the white varieties from local producers, and spice it up with some international contenders from excellent wineries. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris (AKA Pinot Grigio) are the ubiquitous names, but there's plenty more out there: semillon (seh-mi-yohn), viognier, riesling, gewurztraminer...

  1. This vibrant, aromatic wine has flavours of gooseberry and limes, with a lively finish. We love to drink it with seafood and pasta dishes and delicious summer salads.
    $17.95 Each
  2. Light golden in colour, this Sauvignon Blanc is rich, creamy and textural. It possesses ripe fruit flavours - a luscious mix of tropical and stone fruits - and balanced perfectly with fruit-laden acidity. Produced organically.
    $27.95 Each
  3. A brightly aromatic lemon-lime-mandarin citrus medley with notes of red delicious apple, honeydew melon and a tarragon-like herbal edge. A lively off-dry style that delivers a ying-yang balance of bright, natural acidity and a subliminal touch of sweetness – finishing with a delicious quinine-like citrus tang.
    $30.95 Each
  4. Grüner Veltliner is the Austrian version of White Burgundy. A hugely versatile food wine that loves spice, grease, cream and herbal overloads. It’s a little bit exotic; with hints of lemon, lime, tangerine and peach but always with its defining grapefruit pith and white pepper herbaceous hit.
    $24.95 Each
  5. Crisp and refreshing Marlborough Chardonnay with light oak influence and ripe citrus and tropical fruit flavours. Perfect with salmon dishes.
    $14.95 Each
  6. Layers of citrus and lemon peel with subtle influences of barrel fermentation balanced beautifully.
    $22.95 Each
  7. A fresh and balanced style of Pinot Gris. Full flavoured with pear, quince and muesli. Good weight and texture in the mouth, this is a wine to be enjoyed with a variety of dishes.
    $19.95 Each
  8. Fine Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with an abundance of ripe citrus and gooseberry and a touch of passionfruit. Crisp acidity and a lasting finish.
    $23.95 Each
  9. Lively aromas of lychee, gooseberry and a touch of peapod. Clean, fresh palate shows juicy acidity and excellent fruit concentration leading to a mouth-watering finish.
    $16.95 Each
  10. A precise aromatic expression of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Ripe lime and green apple notes meld with fresh herbs. Lovely balance with attractive fruit purity.
    $26.95 Each
  11. Produced in the Hawkes Bay and always popular. Oak ageing has added complexity to the ripe tropical fruit flavours.
    $19.95 Each
  12. Made in an Alsatian style this is a delicious Pinot Gris. Smooth and slightly oily on the palate with lovely spicy pear and toasted muesli notes. Off-dry and great with lightly spicy dishes.
    $15.95 Each
