New Zealand is most famous on the world wine stage for Sauvignon Blanc, and with good reason. But here at Moore Wilson's we hunt out the best of all the white varieties from local producers, and spice it up with some international contenders from excellent wineries. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris (AKA Pinot Grigio) are the ubiquitous names, but there's plenty more out there: semillon (seh-mi-yohn), viognier, riesling, gewurztraminer...

  1. Medium-bodied, with a focused, mineral length and flavours of crisp apple, lemon and peach.
    $27.95 Each
  2. A fresh, lively palate with white peach and tropical flavours, medium body and length and a chalky, mineral finish.
    $24.95 Each
  3. Probably the best cheap NZ Pinot Gris on the market. A bit drier with some flavoursome tannins, it drinks well with oily fish and finishes clean.
    $13.95 Each
  4. A delicately luscious wine that exudes the elegance of ripe pear, crisp apple, and subtle notes of floral and honeysuckle. Its smooth texture makes it impeccably delicious, offering a seamless tasting experience that is perfect for savouring on its own. Indulge in this refined Pinot Gris, where every sip reveals the craftsmanship and the exquisite balance of flavours.
    $16.95 Each
  5. Perfumed aromas of apricots, nectarines and green pears. A rich mid-palate displaying mild oak influence. The wine finishes dry and crisp with lingering hints of warming spice.
    $22.95 Each
  6. A dry white wine, which exhibits typical Viognier aromas of peach and apricot blossom and ripe stone fruit. A big rich wine full of fruit sweetness delivering a long and satisfying finish.
    $20.95 Each
  7. Medium-dry riesling with lime, white flowers and a suggestion of oyster shell. There’s a perfect blend of sweetness with fruity acidity which gives the wine tension.
    $27.95 Each
  8. A gently rich, rounded Chardonnay, from a fantastic vintage, predominantly grown on a warmer inland vineyard, showing ripe peach with creamy texture and balancing citrus freshness.
    $59.95 Each
  9. Old vine, classic and structured Chardonnay from Nelson's famed clay soils A single, dry-grown Mendoza-clone vineyard on original rootstock planted in 1990, this is a deliciously structured Chardonnay with bright generous fruit, a powerful breadth in the palate. Muscular, bold and pleasing its a proper glass of what is arguably New Zealand's, let alone Nelson's most exciting variety.
    $23.95 Each
  10. A nose of sweet pear and frangipane alongside a wonderfully balanced texture.
    $18.95 Each
  11. A ripe and spicy nose of cardamom, candied apricot and peach. A very rich and unique wine thanks to the climate.
    $18.95 Each
  12. A delicate nose of lime, fine tropical fruits followed by a saline mouthfeel and a typically Nelson refreshing finish.
    $18.95 Each
