New Zealand is most famous on the world wine stage for Sauvignon Blanc, and with good reason. But here at Moore Wilson's we hunt out the best of all the white varieties from local producers, and spice it up with some international contenders from excellent wineries. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris (AKA Pinot Grigio) are the ubiquitous names, but there's plenty more out there: semillon (seh-mi-yohn), viognier, riesling, gewurztraminer...

  1. Luscious aromas of citrus, crisp apple, pear and floral notes, the delicious palate shows intense, tight flavous of lemon / apple and honeysuckle.
    $17.95 Bottle
  2. There is an immediate intensity to this wine that is powerful, yet at the same time clean and balanced. Stone fruit characters are slowly reveled as this textural wine unfolds on the palate. The overall mineral nature, a hallmark of Carrick’s flavor profile, is fully celebrated with the Carrick Josephine Riesling.
    $29.95 Bottle
  3. A skin fermented blend of white wine varietals that create an aromatic and textural wine. The 2021 vintage is a blend of Riesling, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris.
    $35.95 Bottle
  4. Apple, tangerine and wet stones overlie subdued exotic floral notes. A burst of sweetness on the palate is quickly tempered by hallmark natural acidity. Perfectly integrated sweetness is harmonised by a mineral expression from the schist soils, the low alcohol (9.5%) and dancing acid structure. An expressive and finely poised Riesling potentiating exciting food matches.
    $42.95 Bottle
  5. The Doctors Riesling 21/22

2022 Recommended by Cuisine Magazine February 2021

    $29.95 Bottle

    $28.95 Bottle
  9. Forrest Est Riesling 18/20

2020 Recommended by Cuisine Magazine February 2021

Kiwi-style Riesling -a delicate off dry wine made in a deliciously juicy fruit driven style. Very pure, citrus/lime and subtle stone-fruit flavours. Intense, concentrated and harmonious with that perfect balance of ripe fruit sweetness, fresh acidity, drying minerality and long long finish.
    $22.95 Bottle
  10. Fresh, crisp and quite delicate, the palate is loaded with attractive citrus characters. The lively acid provides much of the drive and sees the wine finish clean and dry with just a hint of talc like grip on the finish.
    $25.95 Bottle
  11. Semi dry in taste there is a unique calcified character, which is sometimes seen in classic Rieslings from the old world. The fine acidity helps harmonise the phenolics and fruit sweetness. Produced organically.
    $30.95 Bottle
  12. A nice clean broad riesling, dry with a reasonably long interesting finish. Text book stuff from Steve Smith and the team.
    $32.95 Bottle
