New Zealand is most famous on the world wine stage for Sauvignon Blanc, and with good reason. But here at Moore Wilson's we hunt out the best of all the white varieties from local producers, and spice it up with some international contenders from excellent wineries. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris (AKA Pinot Grigio) are the ubiquitous names, but there's plenty more out there: semillon (seh-mi-yohn), viognier, riesling, gewurztraminer...

  1. Crafted from vineyards positioned throughout Marlborough comes this rich, full bodied Pinot Gris. This stunningly juicy wine is dry in style, offering red apple, pear, stone-fruit and spice flavours with a soft, elegant finish.
    $16.95 Each
  2. Gorgeous little citrus flowers link arms with melon and peach to dance in the sunshine, always maintaining an air of class. Meanwhile, lime lingers in the shadows vying for attention.
    $12.95 Each
  3. Rich aroma with classical presentations of pear, spice, nectarine flesh and custard apple. Balanced beautifully with sweet stone fruit, spiced pear, lemon curd and peach skin. A long textural finish.
    $21.95 Each
  4. Floral nose with jasmine and orange blossom, touch of lemon. Pithy citrus fruits including pink grapefruit expressed on the palate with a touch of honey and spice. Textural with a rich line of acidity.
    $21.95 Each
  5. Embark on a relaxing journey with our Marlborough Pinot Gris. Enjoy the taste of lush orchard fruits, lovely citrus, with a touch of minerality. Picture succulent pear and white peach, weaving a medium-bodied tapestry of flavours on your palate.
    $48.95 Each
  6. This is a fruity yet mineral wine with perfectly balanced body and acidity. It's a blend of Grenache Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and a little-known grape called Terret. Zingy, zesty and full of notes of green apple, kiwifruit and lime zest. A perfect match for poultry or vegetables, or spicier dishes like curries.
    $19.95 Each
  7. Upon release it has a subtle lemon hue. The bouquet is vibrant, an intoxicating assortment of tropical and citrus. Heady aromas of passionfruit and pineapple flirt temptingly against a backdrop of grapefruit, green apple, lemon peel and a hint of gunflint. The mouthfeel is textured yet precise, with a rousing whip of acidity and simmering phenolics that give the wine increased structure and length. A complex and serious Sauvignon Blanc, displaying intense varietal character, a multi- faceted palate, and a long salivating finish.
    $26.95 Each
  8. With immense purity, depth and finesse, this pedigree Chardonnay is among the best.
    $74.95 Each
  9. Cognoscente Hawkes Bay Chardonnay 2022
    $21.95 Each
  10. 40% of this wine was fermented in old French barrels, not for the oak, but for the form of the vessel itself. Mouthfeel is gained here by high lees to wine contact and a more efficient natural lees stirring across unhurried wild ferments.
    $39.95 Each
  11. Ripe citrus aromas of navel orange and stonefruit, a medley of nougat, flint and vanilla notes to add to the complexity and interest on the nose. A silky attack with sweet fruit flavours of lychee and navel orange, almond and clove in the rich textural mid palate, with hints of nougat and vanilla balanced with fine oak and a lingering citrus finish.
    $37.95 Each
  12. Lemon, honeycomb, white florals, taut.
    $31.95 Each
