Moore Wilson’s is passionate about championing our home-grown produce and that extends to wine, beer, cider and spirits. We stock hundreds of wines from all over New Zealand, but if your palate also enjoys international journeys, we have a wide range of red and white wines from France, Spain, Italy, Australia, Argentina, South Africa and the USA.

There are hundreds of wines to choose from in the Moore Wilson’s range, and we go all the way up to some of the world’s rarest and finest examples - perfect gifts for your wine-buff friends, or take advantage of our everyday low prices to stock up your cellar. We have carefully a selected a few of these vinous treasures for the online store, and we’ll be adding more soon, so do check back, or visit us in store for a wider selection.

And of course, Wellington is New Zealand's craft beer capital, so we have a great selection from locals including Garage Project, Panhead, Tuatara, ParrotDog, and Emersons. We also stock a wide range of classics and international beers, including low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beer like Clausthaler and Moretti Zero.

New Zealand is developing a great reputation for spirits - Scapegrace and Lighthouse make very fine gin, and we have some up and coming vodka and whiskey producers too, including the very exciting Thomson Manuka Smoked Whisky. Divergence NZ Single Malt Whisky

100% New Zealand Single Malt Whisky aged four and a half years in 50 and 100 litre virgin French oak barrels. With a fully grain to glass story, the new make spirit is made from 100% Canterbury grown and malted barley. It is mashed, fermented and double pot still distilled, then aged more than four years in 50 and 100 litre virgin French oak barrels in Christchurch NZ.

Ramos Pinto Ervamoira Vintage Port

2009

Splendid colour, a deep ripe red with beautiful violet reflections. The nose reveals an elegant bouquet; ripe fruit stands out, such as strawberry and raspberry, helianthemums and balsamic touches of cedar. A fresh and full-bodied entrance with remarkable harmony that is rich with ripe fruit and a slight resinous touch. The slick, soft tannins reveal the degree of ripeness of the grapes of the Quinta de Ervamoira. A lasting aftertaste, harmonious and very persistent.

Ramos Pinto Vintage Port

1997

Intense, with a very dense colour and delicate brownish reflections, characteristic of an evolution taking place in bottle. Appetising, fresh and alluring aroma, black plum, cassis, anise and tobacco notes and a slight touch of lavender. Creamy mouth, very aromatic, cocoa, cherry and pipe tobacco. It is refreshing without being heavy, good tannin structure and a long and aromatic finish. Today, it is a harmonious and elegant wine. Age gave it a fine delicacy, but it still can and should mature for long years.

Two Rivers Phoenix Pinot Gris

2023

A lovely almond colour in the glass, the nose reveals toasted coconut, fresh pear, and apple strudel aromas. Textured and dry, the wine has roasted almond flavours mingling with fresh thyme, wild fennel, and cinnamon. This multi-layered pinot gris is opulent yet clean and juicy with fresh acidity. Great balance and a waxy mouthfeel are complimented by a beautiful lemonade type texture.
