Moore Wilson’s is passionate about championing our home-grown produce and that extends to wine, beer, cider and spirits. We stock hundreds of wines from all over New Zealand, but if your palate also enjoys international journeys, we have a wide range of red and white wines from France, Spain, Italy, Australia, Argentina, South Africa and the USA.

There are hundreds of wines to choose from in the Moore Wilson’s range, and we go all the way up to some of the world’s rarest and finest examples - perfect gifts for your wine-buff friends, or take advantage of our everyday low prices to stock up your cellar. We have carefully a selected a few of these vinous treasures for the online store, and we’ll be adding more soon, so do check back, or visit us in store for a wider selection.

And of course, Wellington is New Zealand's craft beer capital, so we have a great selection from locals including Garage Project, Panhead, Tuatara, ParrotDog, and Emersons. We also stock a wide range of classics and international beers, including low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beer like Clausthaler and Moretti Zero.

New Zealand is developing a great reputation for spirits - Scapegrace and Lighthouse make very fine gin, and we have some up and coming vodka and whiskey producers too, including the very exciting Thomson Manuka Smoked Whisky. Our latest edition of Cloudwalker continues with the same single site on the stony fringe of the Dry River. This year we've eased back on extraction slightly settling for just 2 weeks of soaking with skins and seeds. Aromatically apricot and fresh lemon blossom and dried orange peel, the palate of this wine shows a firm spine of gently bitter phenolics that linger like chalk, sap and spice - expect the wine to really sing over the next 3 years.

Paritua Stone Paddock Scarlet

Highly scented Black Doris plum, blackberry and black currant aroma’s with hints of baking spice, cedar and fine spicy oak. The palate shows dark fruits dominated by plum and blackberry with a rich full mid palate supported by firm, ripe tannins and a long, sumptuous finish. Subtle oak influence provides spicy notes and added structure.

Castello Di Torre in Pietra Cesanese

2020

It has a garnet red color typical of the Cesanese area with a beautiful luminosity. The nose is inviting and clean, characterized by small red fruits, morello cherry and raspberry, followed by a delicate floral bouquet of rose. In the mouth it enters soft and enveloping with a silky and non-invasive tannin. The structure accompanies the sip with balance to a clean finish with fruity hints of cherries in alcohol.

Penfolds Bin 28 Shiraz

Bin 28 offers a showcase of warm climate Australian shiraz – ripe, robust and generously flavoured. First made in 1959, Bin 28 was original named after the famous Barossa Valley Kalimna vineyard purchased by Penfolds in 1945 and from which the wine was originally sourced. Today, Bin 28 is a multi-region, multi-vineyard blend, with the Barossa Valley always well represented.

Often referred to as ‘Baby Grange’ because components of the wine are matured in the same barrels that held the previous vintage of Grange.
