Moore Wilson’s is passionate about championing our home-grown produce and that extends to wine, beer, cider and spirits. We stock hundreds of wines from all over New Zealand, but if your palate also enjoys international journeys, we have a wide range of red and white wines from France, Spain, Italy, Australia, Argentina, South Africa and the USA

 

There are hundreds of wines to choose from in the Moore Wilson’s range, and we go all the way up to some of the world’s rarest and finest examples - perfect gifts for your wine-buff friends, or take advantage of our everyday low prices to stock up your cellar. We have carefully a selected a few of these vinous treasures for the online store, and we’ll be adding more soon, so do check back, or visit us in store for a wider selection.

 

And of course, Wellington is New Zealand's craft beer capital, so we have a great selection from locals including Garage Project, PanheadTuatara, ParrotDog, and Emersons. We also stock a wide range of classics and international beers, including low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beer like Clausthaler and Moretti Zero.

 

New Zealand is developing a great reputation for spirits - Rogue Society and Lighthouse make very fine gin, and we have some up and coming vodka and whiskey producers too, including the very exciting Thomson Manuka Smoked Whisky.   1. Lifted aromas of vanilla bean, ripe peach and spicy oak. There are nuances of toasty hazelnut and ripe citrus rind. The palate has a flavoursome entry with generous mid-palate texture showing the stone fruit and citrus flavours promised on the nose. The palate is well balanced with fine grained oak tannins and gentle acidity that gives length and persistence of flavour.

    A refreshing combination of mango and pineapple with a generous dose of citrus. Light bodied with honeyed malt undertones. Dull golden, slightly hazy.

  5. Toussaint Coffee Rum Liqueur is made from a base of aged Caribbean rum, created with sugar which is harvested, distilled and aged in oak casks, and the finest Arabica coffee. The rum creates a sweet, woody, tobacco base balanced with the rich espresso notes from the coffee. Just a touch of sugar is added to deliver an authentic espresso flavour.

  6. Aalborg Table Akvavit is the archetype of a clear, Danish aquavit. It has a distinct taste of caraway seeds, but if you close your eyes, you can sense a discreet aftertaste of orange.

  8. Linie is the oldest aquavit brand in the world. It all started back in 1805, when the Norwegian trade family, Lysholm, shipped potato aquavit to the East Indies. Here people were totally uninterested in buying it, so the aquavit was sailed back to Norway. On its arrival in 1807, it was discovered that the sea voyage had vastly improved the taste.

  11. After having difficulties finding orange bitters to suit his taste, Gaz Regan decided to set about making my own. After a few mishaps, on batch number 6 he got it right and Regans Orange Bitters No.6 was born.
  12. Sagatiba Velha (pronounced ‘vel-ya’) is for those who like a smooth spirit with character. It is handcrafted in small batches using the traditional copper pot distillation method, and then laid to rest for at least two years in American white oak casks. This allows the full flavour notes of butternut and plantain to develop and gives the spirit its golden colour.
