Moore Wilson’s is passionate about championing our home-grown produce and that extends to wine, beer, cider and spirits. We stock hundreds of wines from all over New Zealand, but if your palate also enjoys international journeys, we have a wide range of red and white wines from France, Spain, Italy, Australia, Argentina, South Africa and the USA.

There are hundreds of wines to choose from in the Moore Wilson’s range, and we go all the way up to some of the world’s rarest and finest examples - perfect gifts for your wine-buff friends, or take advantage of our everyday low prices to stock up your cellar. We have carefully a selected a few of these vinous treasures for the online store, and we’ll be adding more soon, so do check back, or visit us in store for a wider selection.

And of course, Wellington is New Zealand's craft beer capital, so we have a great selection from locals including Garage Project, Panhead, Tuatara, ParrotDog, and Emersons. We also stock a wide range of classics and international beers, including low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beer like Clausthaler and Moretti Zero.

New Zealand is developing a great reputation for spirits - Scapegrace and Lighthouse make very fine gin, and we have some up and coming vodka and whiskey producers too, including the very exciting Thomson Manuka Smoked Whisky. Decibel Hawkes Bay Rose

2022

The wine has a soft pink salmon hue ranging into an apricot color. White flowers on the nose with peach, stone fruit, and mineral notes opening up to aromas of cantaloupes, honeydew, manuka, and talcum. The front palate is soft and rich with lush cheeks. The mid-palate adds a bit of baking spice and brambly fruit. The finish is bright and crisp.

Stonecroft Gewurztraminer

2023

Tropical fruit notes dominate the bouquet with lychee, passionfruit and pineapple, plus hints of rose. On the palate the wine has a lovely texture and mouthfeel, with luscious tropical fruit flavours. The wine will benefit from bottle age. The wine is a single vineyard wine, with fruit from our Roy’s Hill Vineyard.

Ata Rangi Potiki Chardonnay

Bright aromas of citrus blossom, apple, blanched almonds with a hint of lime leaf. The palate is focused, with a salty, mineral line and fresh flavours of lemon and coriander. This is a youthful wine that’s delicious drinking now, but it will also reward further with cellar age.

Gonzalez Byass Oloroso Matusalem

Matusalem after 30 years in cask has acquired an intense mahogany colour with profound aromas of dried fruits, raisins, spices and mature wood, as well as leather and cocoa. On the palate smooth and sweet, long and velvety. Matusalem has an interesting bitter sweet finish due to its mix of the sweet Pedro Ximénez and bitter tannins from the oak.
