Moore Wilson’s is passionate about championing our home-grown produce and that extends to wine, beer, cider and spirits. We stock hundreds of wines from all over New Zealand, but if your palate also enjoys international journeys, we have a wide range of red and white wines from France, Spain, Italy, Australia, Argentina, South Africa and the USA

 

There are hundreds of wines to choose from in the Moore Wilson’s range, and we go all the way up to some of the world’s rarest and finest examples - perfect gifts for your wine-buff friends, or take advantage of our everyday low prices to stock up your cellar. We have carefully a selected a few of these vinous treasures for the online store, and we’ll be adding more soon, so do check back, or visit us in store for a wider selection.

 

And of course, Wellington is New Zealand's craft beer capital, so we have a great selection from locals including Garage Project, PanheadTuatara, ParrotDog, and Emersons. We also stock a wide range of classics and international beers, including low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beer like Clausthaler and Moretti Zero.

 

New Zealand is developing a great reputation for spirits - Scapegrace and Lighthouse make very fine gin, and we have some up and coming vodka and whiskey producers too, including the very exciting Thomson Manuka Smoked Whisky.   1. A rich concentrated dessert wine with the distinctive flavour of the Moscatel grape. Smooth and mellow with a very clean aftertaste.

  2. A world famous blended Scotch Whisky from the Scottish Highlands. Chivas Regal 12 year old is a very refined blended whisky with flavours of herbs, honey and fruit prominent on the palate.

  3. Pale straw colour, dry, light and smooth. This Fino is laced with scents of the sea and profound flor aromas. Clean and fresh, with a slight taste of tangy yeast.

  4. Dark bronze in colour with golden rim. Pungent nutty aromas and smoky wood background in the nose. Rich flavours of bitter chocolate, walnuts and baked chestnuts. This Oloroso wine has an intense, concentrated aftertaste, lightened by a tangy acidity.

  5. The award winning flag-ship blend from Grant's. First created by William Grant in 1898, it was awarded a silver medal at the 2007 International Wine and Spirits Competition.

  6. This dry Amontillado acquires a genuine, rich and nutty flavour through years of ageing. Amber in colour, with hazelnut aromas on the nose. Light, soft and round on the palate, with a long aftertaste.

  7. A quality French apple brandy from Chateau du Breuil. Aged 2 years before bottling, it was awarded a silver and "best in class" at the 2008 International Wine and Spirit Competition and a Bronze at the 2009 General Competition of Paris.

  8. A soft but flavoursome, entry-level calvados from Chateau du Breuil. After distillation, they carefully monitor the VSOP for a further 4 years for close over the flavour.

  9. The Delord Xo offers up spicy, complex flavours, with a caramelly sweet nose. Suitably easy to drink and ideal as an after dinner tipple with some chocolate, dried fruit or nuts.

  10. Black Sheep Beer is a full flavoured, premium bitter with a rich fruity aroma. Handfuls of choice Golding hops give it a bittersweet, roast coffee maltiness followed by Black Sheep's characteristic long, dry and bitter finish.
