Moore Wilson’s is passionate about championing our home-grown produce and that extends to wine, beer, cider and spirits. We stock hundreds of wines from all over New Zealand, but if your palate also enjoys international journeys, we have a wide range of red and white wines from France, Spain, Italy, Australia, Argentina, South Africa and the USA

There are hundreds of wines to choose from in the Moore Wilson’s range, and we go all the way up to some of the world’s rarest and finest examples - perfect gifts for your wine-buff friends, or take advantage of our everyday low prices to stock up your cellar. We have carefully a selected a few of these vinous treasures for the online store, and we’ll be adding more soon, so do check back, or visit us in store for a wider selection.

And of course, Wellington is New Zealand's craft beer capital, so we have a great selection from locals including Garage Project, PanheadTuatara, ParrotDog, and Emersons. We also stock a wide range of classics and international beers, including low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beer like Clausthaler and Moretti Zero.

New Zealand is developing a great reputation for spirits - Rogue Society and Lighthouse make very fine gin, and we have some up and coming vodka and whiskey producers too, including the very exciting Thomson Manuka Smoked Whisky. If you can’t find what you’re looking for online yet, check with one of the stores.

  1. Bright lavender aromatics on the nose, showing classic cool climate Syrah characteristics. Some balanced richer berry fruit on the palate finishing nicely with subtle oak.
  2. Fine, elegant pinot gris for the masses. A decent middle palate, some good rich autumn fruit on the front and a satisfying, drier finish with reasonable complexity.
  3. A blended Italian wine that will appeal to all palates. Fleshy and savoury with decent structure and some dainty tannins, it drinks easily on its own but will enhance a hearty beef stew.
  4. This Medoc is a classic in every way - from its 18th century style bottle, to the lovely combination of crushed blackcurrant and dusty antique shop aromas.
  5. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah from the Hawkes Bay. Ripe red fruits, cassis, spice and smoked meats are all evident flavours. Great with meaty stews.
  6. Fragrant violets, highly concentrated black -berry, spice and a hint of black pepper, with a seasoning of finely textured smoky oak.
  7. A meticulous Riesling combining citrus, apple and floral characters with subtle flinty complexity. It’s taut and bright on the palate with whispering sweetness and a lovey linear finish.
    $24.95 Bottle
  8. More reliably-excellent winemaking from Clearview. A light, easy drinking style showing up-front fruit. Pears and lychee flavours combine to produce a light fresh wine.
  9. Plantation Old Fashioned Traditional Dark Rum is a take on that classic style of overproof rums.
  10. Mills Reef Vintage Port

    2013 500ml bottle

Densely coloured and richly aromatic, this delicious fortified wine has been crafted from a selection of our best Hawke's Bay grapes. Luscious raisin, black forest fruit, Christmas cake and date flavours abound, laced with spicy black pepper and chocolate notes.
  11. Bols Cacao White is a clear liqueur with delicious milk chocolate flavours, underpinned by faint vanilla and apricot tones.
  12. Vibrant green in colour. Sourz Apple is sure to catch your attention. The sweet apple flavour is balanced by a zingy sour finish. A clean and crisp serve.
